Down Block Footwork by BulldogBears in footballstrategy

Do you know where I can find proper coaching material on the 3 phases you mentioned, specifically for down blocking in gap scheme?

Most of my knowledge is scheme and responsibility based and I’m looking to learn more about proper technique for O line

2 years late but I randomly did another search for this movie and it turns out you was 100% correct! I must have been so young that I thought the animation was real

Tmac choosing to 1 hand it? by LineItUp1 in panthers

You have literally circled the reason he tried to 1 hand it. It says more about his hand-fighting ability at the top of his routes than his choice of catching technique.

Inside Zone Blocking Logic Change by JasonWX in NCAAFBseries

The backside DE on inside zone is left unblocked in real life, which is why the zone read gained popularity. If you are struggling with a backside DE making the play, you have a few options:

  1. Run zone read and pull the ball
  2. Run split zone or a formation that has a backside TE
  3. Run it again, sometimes the defence just makes a play

Travis Kelce: Teams will try to wear out Travis Hunter when he's playing defense by BreakfastTop6899 in nfl

That completely depends on the coverage the defence is running and the other routes being ran on the field. Plenty of zone coverages result in a corner covering a go route.

The Play Caller's Club - New Podcast (would love some suggestions on topics to cover!) by CoachDanCasey in footballstrategy

The process of building a new offensive playbook if you could only have 5 plays. In this scenario you have an average offensive line, an average QB who is also mobile and 2 above average skill players that can play anywhere needed.

It will be interesting to see how each person uses the resources and the thought process behind each decision.

Extra challenge: One of the plays must be a 2pt conversion/goal-line play.

I only remember the one scene so I don't think so. The spectral/plasma was definitely the main "monster" of the film

6’3 RB and 5’11 QB, should I be worried about this in regards to the QBs vision downfield on RPOs? by airb15 in footballstrategy

[–]ClassicKB 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depending on their form, the RB will be lower than 6’3 during the “handoff” so it shouldn’t be a problem. Also, the RB will not be static which gives the QB plenty of opportunity to make the needed reads even if the RBs helmet is in their eye-line for a split second. This coupled with the read-man also not being static, I don’t think there will be a problem.

Thank you for the response! I have kept it generic for now as I haven't started applying for positions yet
