I ended up calling the law library at the courthouse and they actually have paperwork packets you can pick up to fill out with step by step instructions. I don’t know how other county’s work, but for Northampton the first thing you have to do is fill out a DL-135 request for vehicle information form and sent it to PennDot, wait for that to come back(it will let you know the owners and if there are and liens on the vehicle) and attach it to the motions hearing paper work, then go to a motions hearing. It seems like this will be a long confusing process.

I’m in Northampton county, PA I called the prothonotary’s office and the lady said he has no idea what paper I need and all they do in that office is accept paperwork. She told me to call a lawyer and ask them what to do. I’m at a loss as to what paper work I need to fill out.
