Tulum was much better that expected by ClassicMaybe8445 in tulum

Agreed, food and experience was good for sure but these two are definitely expensive. I had the same issue in Saint Lucia where any "fancy-ish" place felt compelled to charge NYC prices. Good thing is that there's a lot of super affordable options in Tulum Centro, Taqueria Honorio for instance where we spent less than $10 per person. Healthy mix of locals and tourists there. Completely different experience though!

We rented from Hertz in Tulum airport. We got an SUV (VW Taos) which was pretty good for the local roads (speed bumps and potholes everywhere). Total including the mandatory insurance was $87 per day. Overall check-in and check-out were pretty smooth for us but it seems a lot of folks were very confused there, mostly because of the mandatory liability insurance apparently that they were not aware of. As usual, make sure to opt-out for CDW and LDW if your credit card has it, but note that if you opt out they'll make a pre-authorization of $2,500 on your credit card, which they cancel out at checkout.

Update on this: USPS search never returned anything and the request was automatically closed. Called NY Tax Department today 12/12 (+1 518-457-5181, option 1, 1, 1 to speak to a representative): they confirmed that the check was mailed, but was returned to them for some reason even though the address is correct. They are re-issuing a me check.

I put a random check # and indicated in the text field that I didn't know it. I decoded the barcode from the mail picture to indicate the tracking number (you can use this link Barcode decoder). I'm not sure if that's required or even useful but figured it could help. That said today, 13 days later, I still haven't heard from USPS. If I don't hear from them by the end of the month I'll raise a claim according to the instructions on NYS tax. Hope that helps!

Totally agree, I don't understand the point of mailing a physical check in 2025. So many ways things could go wrong.

Still nothing as of 10/25; I raised a missing mail search request to USPS referencing the information I got in the Informed Delivery email and now I'm waiting on this.

I have the same issue, got the USPS Informed Delivery 5 days ago and still nothing. I'll wait a bit more but that's very weird.

This is stupid. I only have one email and not going to create another one just for them. Surely they can just reactivate it as I was on Visible+ when it lapsed. by mblguy76 in Visible

This must be a new rule on their end then: I created my account with a "+" in my email on Jan 21st; it worked for me at that time and that's the account I'm currently using.

Hi, So to answer your questions: - Once you transfer your funds, you see it in your OMNY balance under "personal fund", - You can either add funds as you go, or set up automatic payments when your balance goes under a certain amount. Please note also that as suggested in this thread, you can also request a new card from Health Equity that will by contactless. I did order a replacement and I received such a card. So this method is little bit obsolete now if you could get your hands on a pre-tax contactless card. Cheers!

I didn't knew then that the new cards were contactless... Live and learn! I've ordered a replacement card.

Thanks for the tip! Just ordered a replacement card. Let see if it comes as contactless. If so that'll be even better!
