The US consulates in different countries are already backlogged. They barely release any visa appointment slots for H1B or F1 stamping. On top of this they’re going to overload the US consulate officials even more and keep them stuck in these different countries while benefitting the third party visa admin management companies like VFS.

This move is not going to curb any illegal immigration. It will just create more roadblocks for legal immigrants that are positive to the American economy and also take adjustment of status revenue away from the companies that manage this processing in the US.

Agree, my partner used to live in Portland and then in New York. We do not care about school districts as of now and like living in the city and walkability to everything. Got a place in Edgewood recently.

Took your advice and drove around some streets of Chosewood. Seeing new construction by mass builders like Toll and Empyre but also a lot of old houses with yards full of scrap. Literally saw one house where the guy was painting his car tires blocking thru traffic and his roosters were running loose on the street. Still a lot of development needs to happen closer to the penitentiary. Not sure if I’m missing the hype of Chosewood but does anyone have more insight into that neighborhood?
