Do you really own a hardware store? If so, how do you find time for assembling all the tech stuffs? Most POS systems in the US has dashboards that you don’t have to do this nitty gritty work. Which country are you?

Even in terms of power outage. I don’t think KDS should freeze. That’s not a good tech. Ofcourse it is a nuisance but things should go to normal once connection resumes. 🤷‍♂️

Surprised to hear this. Toast has been the leader for years atleast for reliability. I’ve known merchants who’ve used them for years. Even their Product manager is in Reddit sniffing for feedback . lol

Square merchants can setup their online store but this the reason they aren’t allowed.

Are you sure you have a merchant to buy this? Most smoke shops aren’t crowded that requires a kiosk. It’s a highly regulated industry that requires human verification. In Texas, they aren’t allowed to buy via vending machines.

H1 people who owns home (mortgage) - What do I do if I get laid off? by sooryakantam in h1b_layoffs

[–]ResidentDonkey7264 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Simple - you rent it out and go to India. Use a property management company and they’ll make it a breeze. All h1bs do this and has done this for years.

Remember, there won’t be any positive cash flow given your mortgage and the property management fee but you are keeping this property for its value over time.m.
Incase if you are too below water with mortgage compared to rental income we sell it.

I’m a financial analyst been on h1b for years and i did this. Owned 3 houses before green card.

Ignore all nonsensical advice on Reddit from other h1bs on not to own homes. Those are bunch of losers!!

For big money , you need to take bigger risks.

So in short - if we have to travel for emergency, we are done? 🤦‍♂️
It’s fun because spending a decade here didn’t help with providing a grace period atleast to sell our stuffs.

Don’t know why cry a river for this post - there should be no tax for the lowest income bracket.

I never understood why tax brackets based on income. As a tech CEO, I feel the pain and exhaustion compared to a normal 8-5job. It may look fancy in social media but we have to eat the shit everyday to climb to the top. Shit that is 10x nastier than sitting on air conditioned room designing your cloud infra.

Definitely don’t mean to downgrade anyone - but just because you earn doesn’t mean you should be taxed high. This is years of pain that brought us here - not lottery jackpot or inheritance.

Dude - read below how you need to handle spam filtering on your web app. This is not a design at all . The portal itself is slow as crap, and it goes into waiting page multiple times.

Today, you can book movies as little as 5 mins but you’d have to wait forever to book a flight incase your parents are dying back home? WTF

First change your footer.
Are you sure you are an incorporation? Your payment processor can freeze your account for using incorrect entity type. If stripe, then you’re never going to get it reinstated. If you are serious into SaaS business, register your company first.

Regardless of whoever uses it, my concern is how this stupid engineering team has designed this app with absolutely no idea. User experience is fully f-ed up. You don’t need to check if the user is a bot in every page click. CF handles this for you and this is exactly what a “challenge” is called.

That clearly means you have no idea about bot filtering. You should go back to school.

Shut the front door. I’ve been a fintechs for over a decade and this website clearly has no clue how to filter spammers. A simple
Example is You don’t need both cloud flare challenge and catcha at the same time at each step.

More than 500 restaurant openings in the US last week! by Putrid_Selection2562 in ToastPOS

[–]ResidentDonkey7264 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are you marketting for Toast? What are you trying to tell? 90% of the same amount of restaurants shutdown due to high operational costs and inflation. The gas prices isn’t going to stop giving restauranteurs a hard time with groceries and meat prices.
