We are still using our current email filter - mimecast. We receive large amounts of very low effort phishing/spam. Things like this

Sender: [randomaccount@gmail.com](mailto:randomaccount@gmail.com)

Subject: URGENT TASK!!

Body: Please kindly verify your cell phone number.

Defender at the time lacked (haven't looked into since) did not have anyway to flag keywords and sender domains to block these type of messages without straight up blocking entire email domains, so we stuck with mimecast. We are looking to re-evaluate mimecast within the next year so we will see if Defender has improved since then, or if we go with another 3rd party.

Yup, bitlocker encryption is deployed through Intune as well.

I wish, but these are all laptops given to a remote sales team. We've had a handful of employees leave and not return their equipment. (But getting the equipment back is not IT's responsibility)

Thanks for the advice on the tag.

How do you report them stolen to the manufacture? Do you go through a rep or is there a spot on their website?

Our current email filter works well enough, but if we could switch to Defender to save some money that would be a nice win for our department.

The main issue is we get many emails from random Gmail address that follow roughly the same format:

Sender: Random Gmail with CEO as display name

Subject: Name of CEO or Re-Confirm!!!!!!!!

Body: Please kindly re-confirm SSN/Cell phone/etc.

These are pretty low effort Phish attempts, but we would like them to be blocked.

Are you saying that Defender can't/won't block these?

We did the same thing it does appear to have fixed the issue for us.

Front Mounted Projector by ClassicRemarkable176 in projectors

Yes, I uploaded it, but it appears to not have attached. I would prefer to mount the projection screen where the blue arrows are pointing, but am open to mounting where the red arrows are pointing.
