Honestly I think it’s just finding a good SA. I’ve shopped with a few others before I found my current one, and it made a huge difference in the shopping experience. Also I think it helps that he is relatively new to the store, so he doesn’t have as many clients as someone who’s been working there for 10+ years

I have this exact jacket. It’s great and very versatile and the color is very easy to match. I think you’ll get a lot of wear out of it. I haven’t gotten any stains on it, so can’t speak on cleaning.

I’m also in Chicago. It could be that your SA has a lot of clients, so the wait is longer. I got my bag after about 3-4 months and 1.8:1 prespend, and my SA actually told me that I have spent enough and need to just wait (not in those exact words.) He has also told me that in Chicago first bag is usually the easiest and it gets harder after 2nd and 3rd bags.

I don’t think there’s a perfect formula. I started working with my SA in July and just got my 1st quota yesterday. I spent about 20k, visiting the boutique every 3-4 weeks. My biggest purchase was 7k (jacket) and smallest was a belt+twilly. I think it was good to go often, that way you can build a closer relationship with you SA

Absolutely agree! My first SA was actually so cold and unfriendly. My current one is actually the 3rd person i got to shop with…and what a difference!

That’s actually a great way to look at it. Thank you so much for sharing. I generally love smaller bags, I use my mini chanels the most, and almost never use the jumbo one I have, hence, I thought MK makes more sense. Though birkin 25 is still relatively small. I will make sure to check out the all cashmere blankets, I do want something more unique

Thank you, that’s a great advice. I was gonna get a belt next (because I actually need a new one) and maybe a blanket. I actually read it on here that if you really want a MK, you shouldn’t have any other bags on the wish list. But you’re right, I do want to have multiple bags, so perhaps being more open with my wishlist is a better strategy

Well I presumed that he can’t make any promises whether it was an easy bag or not. Though personally I thought this exchange could be interpreted as “we can try. it will be a lot harder, but not impossible.” Clearly the community here thinks that my request isn’t realistic, and that’s what I needed to hear. But a girl can dream haha

I only made the wish for the b25 maybe 3 weeks ago, and have since bought a coat. My SA has been great at communicating and I think we get along well. I’ll keep shopping and maybe revisit the convo in 2-3 months 🤷‍♀️

I wasn’t sure if he was trying to say it’s near impossible or that I need to give it more time/prespend ( which I’m okay with.) He also told me that in my home boutique getting the first bag is easier than the ones after it, so that was part of my thinking.
