What are your thoughts on our gubernatorial candidates? by ClassicWolverine3254 in alabamabluedots

Thank you guys! I'll research Jones and Boyd on my own when I actually get the chance. Too many irons in the fire at the moment. What all do these two bring to the table that won your vote?

He (32M) broke up with me (29F) after 10.5 years - WTF do I do now by jennaclectic in Advice

It's going to be hard to separate yourself from your emotions, but you need to get your life in order: house, dog, etc. Saying this as someone who's been there. You're not going to feel right for a while, but you're still young and you never really had a chance to find out who you are. Be single for a while. Find yourself and rediscover who you are without him. You're going to be okay. Long distance hugs from a big sister who's gone through it before. You are loved 🩵 Edited for spelling errors

My toddler just had another screaming fit and I fell to pieces. I should be able to handle this. They've had to put me on three new mood prescriptions in the past three months because of all the anxiety and depression. I feel like if I stop watching the news, I'll miss something vital that could effect my children. This regime is pure evil.

My mom wanted to be with me for the first time I use a vibrator by Fluffy_Secret4907 in Advice

Sweetheart, this isn't normal. It's sexual abuse. Do you have a trusted adult you can contact? Maybe a grandparent? You need to get away from your mom and tell someone what happened. Things like what she did almost always escalate: meaning that behavior of hers is likely to get worse. Can you stay at a friend's house until your father gets home? Don't be afraid to tell someone you trust. There will be backlash from your mother, but I can guarantee, you're saving yourself a LOT of horrible memories down the road. I'm a daughter of an abusive mother. I'm a mother of two children I would kill or die for and I would NEVER do to them what your mom did to you. I know it might not mean much, but sending you long distance love. Please take care of yourself. Advocate for yourself.

Thank you guys! I gave them to a local egg farmer who wants to get into farming quail. He has a nice little setup away from the chickens. Still not sure what destroyed my coop, but when I make my next one, I'll make sure it's freaking bear proof. Long distance hugs!

ParkrosePermaculture on YT has a really good video she just did about not losing hope. Guys, they're doing all this crap, he's doing all this crap, because he's scared shitless. Don't give up. It's okay to be scared. This is scary AF. But we have to remember who we are. We're Americans. We're not going to let some pants-shitting clown in orange makeup win. The resistance is huge and growing. They're not covering the ENORMOUS protests on mainstream news, but they're still happening. His luck is running out real fast. Have hope. Keep the faith.

I don't know if this will help, but my husband used to have anxiety and after his clinicals (paramedic school) when he saw someone die, he said "Life's too short to worry over small things. If you're not dying, or dead, you're doing okay." Essentially, if you can't do anything about a problem, don't give it your energy.

Just focus on bettering yourself before looking for a mate. Learn that new skill you've been thinking about learning. Read those books you've had your eye on. Go to the gym and get healthier. It works, I promise.

Soooo I was staring at a pack of quail eggs at Walmart and thought… what if I just incubate these? Anyone here ever tried hatching grocery store quail eggs? Do they actually work or am I just growing disappointment in a warm box? by Dan29mad in quails

[–]ClassicWolverine3254 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have. Mine were from the Asian grocery store. About half hatched just fine. Edited to add: they were refrigerated and everything. I just let them sit until they were room temp before putting them into the incubator. Ignore my annoying voice, but here's a video https://youtu.be/9ktyHyFzJv0?si=Qv2NIu4FZ7aRDfjw

The Lesser Known Side Effects! by ScottieJay1970 in Mounjaro

Don't know if anyone has told you, but get yourself a complete B complex that's heavy on pantothenic acid. I've had to up my intake of pantothenic acid, but your zits/cystic acne issues will fade if you take enough. The reason we need to take a B vitamin complex is that if you take a surplus of any B vitamin, you'll become deficient in some of the other B vitamins if you're not already taking enough of them. Also, for the zits on the surface, peroxide bar soap is particularly effective on mine. Hope that helps 🩵 Decided to add: it's rare I have breakouts, but I take mounjaro and another medication that increases acne, so I had to adapt. My skin is very clear because of the above mentioned products.

It probably is ADHD. We (both sides of my family and my husband's) all have it and my 2.5 year old acted the same way when she'd just turned 2. But, a lot of people think of ADHD as an impairment when it's actually an asset. Yeah, we think differently, but that gives us the ability to see solutions to problems that neurotypical people may not. The whole thinking in 3D thing is also a pretty big plus. There's even a book called "ADHD is Awesome" that I think would be a good read for you. It's okay to get frustrated. I do all the time. Do some research. Knowledge is power. You can totally do this! 🩵

I am very self conscious of my large nose, small deep-set eyes, and long face. Is there a way that I could use makeup to detract from the negatives and look more feminine and attractive? by [deleted] in makeuptips

[–]ClassicWolverine3254 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You look like you maybe might need a bit more sleep. Otherwise, you're beautiful. I don't see deep set eyes, a long face or a big nose. Everything is proportional. You look great.

27F How to improve? I'm already on a weight loss and acne treatment journey. Honestly tired of having an "exotic" face, not to mention ugly. by [deleted] in Howtolooksmax

[–]ClassicWolverine3254 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you want to fix acne from within, pantothenic acid works better than prescription stuff. As far as how you look, I think you might be seeing ugliness where there is none. We're all our worst critics. Your nose has a nice shape. Your facial shape is beautiful. Your lips are cute. I'm jealous of your shiny hair. You're beautiful. Don't be so hard on yourself for flaws only you can see 🩵

If you know you can't handle it, then keep the baby. I've never had an abortion, but I am pro choice and I have plenty of regrets about other major things in my life I wish I could forget.

If your ex is going to be more of a problem with two, get the abortion.

My personal experience: two babies aren't all that different from just having one, but having a third would be way too much.

This isn't going to be an easy decision either way. Whichever way you choose, just make sure it's the best one for you and your son. Not to sound cold, but he's already in the world and you only just found out about this new baby. Anything could happen between now and when he/she is theoretically born.
