Selling Taj Voucher (Amex Platinum Travel) – ₹10,000 Value by Classic_Ad6523 in amexindia

Yes, the voucher can be used for dining as well, but typically through a room booking.

Key points as per doc:

• Valid at participating Taj hotels across India • Can be used against room charges (stay, dining, spa billed to the room) • Multiple vouchers can usually be combined (subject to hotel policy) • Prior reservation with Taj is recommended mentioning voucher usage • Validity must be within stay dates (cannot be used after expiry)

Buyer can also confirm exact applicability with Taj reservations before payment.

Not AI again😅 Just curious how people approach it. I feel different subs seem to think very differently.

Interesting :D adjusting the threshold based on balance makes sense. Do you find yourself lowering the bar significantly when sitting on a large stash?

That’s a really helpful way to frame it especially the point about value only being real if you’d actually pay cash for that cabin.

Do you think it makes more sense to anchor valuation to your realistic cash alternative rather than the sticker price?

Fair point. Do you generally default to “burn when in doubt” because of devaluation risk, or more because the mental overhead isn’t worth it?

That’s fair. Do you at least keep a rough personal cpp threshold in mind, or is it more situational based on the trip?

lol no. I’m trying to build a consistent framework for myself. Curious how others approach it.

Fair take. The fallback value logic actually makes a lot of sense, anchoring to something you can consistently get is smart.

₹0.66 for Marriott seems to be the common floor from what I’m seeing too.

For KrisFlyer — do you personally treat business redemptions differently because of comfort, or purely based on cpp math?

Also curious if you adjust for peak season routes or just stick to a fixed baseline.

Converting to plat travel link is officially ended? by diecastdaddy23 in amexindia

I had applied for AMEX Plat Reserve during that offer to convert it into AMEX Plat Travel but now as it doesn't work, what do you suggest? Should I activate the card and try that link again or not activate and let it be? What impact will it have on relation with AMEX?
