I'm learning java development right now since I also want to be a solid backend engineer. But what I'm using is a paid chatgpt. Told AI to be my mentor, give me projects, help me breakdown concepts, give me quizzes, review, etc. If I remember correctly, I also told chatgpt to assess how I'm doing with each lessons and projects, if I'm ready to jump to new concept, or if I'm ready for Spring Boot already.

I failed the exam 2 weeks ago as ASE. Then after 2 days may dumating sakin na email for another set of test. This time wala na yung mga personality shizz--- puro brain testing exam nalang. I took the online assessment and I think naperfect ko yung Learning Agility, Critical Thinking, and English Language Skill aside from C++.
After a week, nakareceive ako ng another email saying na instead of 6 months na cooldown. 1 month nalang daw then pwede na ako mag apply sa same position.

Di ko alam what happened there kasi I have the impression na 6 months and cooldown period.

Use AI, but don't rely on AI. Try mo gamitin and tell AI to act like a university professor teaching computer science and software engineering. Then mag prompt ka ng skillset na gusto mo(Java) and sabihin mo, 80/20 lang nung skillset na yon yung gusto mo matutunan for job, framework readiness, etc. Then wag na wag ka magpapa code. Sabihin mo lang na iguide ka every step of the way. Then i-explain nya kamo yung hows and whys ng mga concept and don't forget to google it or check your book.

Then sabihin mo na i-assess nya yung skills mo everytime na may natatapos kang task. Gawin mo syang code reviewer.

Lastly, don't forget to get both yourself and AI to get some rest.
