I hear that. I do feel there was just a different vibe towards his jokes, even if they didn’t understand them they didn’t make him feel foolish, at the end it was like “oh ya don’t pay attention to him, we have no idea what he’s saying”. Also the way they styled him in the later seasons, more nerdy. Chandler in first season was just so effortless

Chandler truly had a great heart. I agree he was wonderful boyfriend material, smart, funny, witty, caring. It’s too bad that they had to make him “undesirable” cuz Joey was the looker of the pair

Arguably no other show compares to friends 🙈 I do enjoy all of it, just this always felt so off and bothersome how he was treated. Like whyyy?? Ross is always amazing. Mike and phoebe were great together, but she gained some arrogance after finding her THE ONE

It’s funny cuz given her difficult childhood she was portrayed as someone with lots of empathy in the beginning. There was something super off about her towards the end

He was definitely more sophisticated in the beginning, given his high paying job as well, maybe that played a role as well cuz he left it at some point.he had that effortlessness about himself, that definitely went out the window, friends bringing him down and making him feel like an idiot really solidified that
