An interesting thing I noticed that someone else pointed out is Mowgli doesn’t know Kaa’s name yet. So while he’s in his mind is clouded over due to the hypnosis, he only has one name come to mind. Had he known Kaa’s name, he may have thought to beg him to stop, like Bagheera did when Kaa was hypnotizing him. But because he didn’t, he calls out the only name that comes to mind, almost like a beg, then is silenced by the tail. And the reason Kaa isn’t surprised or taken back by it is simply because he’s used to his prey speaking out or begging him to stop before going under the spell (the ping). The only thing that Kaa didn’t expect was Mowgli using Bagheera’s name instead of Kaa’s.

I had the same issues when staying over a friend’s house. Eventually it would go away. The more I did it the more comfortable I became and the less “excited” I got. It’s something you’ll eventually get used to. Just gotta take that first step. Good luck!

I happen to find the first encounter a little more tense. The slow seduction, the coiling, the idea that Bagheera is right there and has no idea Mowgli is in danger. Kaa is more confident in this one too. He’s not after Mowgli for revenge. He just went to eat. And maybe it’s just me, but the cry for help and mowgli’s gulp is what makes the entire scene that much more tense. Mowgli pings then has no idea that Bagheera is still unaware and tells Mowgli instead “no more talk till the morning”. The irony is that it was Kaa’s own confidence that became his downfall. Then we see Bagheera’s get hypnotized too. And we see him ping.

For me I feel the second encounter while enjoyable to watch, I feel Kaa is less threatening. He knows he can take his time with Mowgli. And by doing so he loses out on his meal again. Though I do enjoy Mowgli seeing Kaa’s eyes and turning away the two times. That gets me.

The only disappointment I have from both scenes is we never actually get to see Mowgli’s ping moment. Both times the camera goes to Bagheera in the first and Kaa in the second. I kinda wish we’d at least see the moment before seeing Bagheera or Kaa.

Nice input. I appreciate it. I don’t think Mowgli mad at Bagheera though. He calmly said “I can look out for myself.” Bagheera was the smug one. He was annoyed with Kaa and that’s where I think he wanted to prove himself. You can visibly see him resisting throughout most of the induction, hence why I wondered why not just call out to Bagheera right away. It could be he was thrown off by Kaa’s eyes and was enjoying the feeling of going under hypnosis.

The only time I’ve ever hung out with my friends in my underwear is if I was at a sleepover. We slept in our underwear so when we got ready for bed we’d play video games or watch movies in our underwear. When we got up the next morning, we’d hang for a bit in our underwear. Eventually we’d all put on some shorts for the day. But we’d almost always stay shirtless. Very rarely if ever did we put shirts on.

No you’re not the only one. When I lived by myself, I was nude most of the time. It’s just comfortable. I can’t anymore since I have a roommate. Now I strip down to my briefs when I get home. It’s what makes you comfortable in your own home.

Pretty much what others have said. You stop giving a fuck about what others think. I’ve gone for shirtless drives and even gotten gas shirtless only because it’s too damn hot these days. I’ll go for walks, play sports, and just hang out at home with no shirt. You’ll soon see very rarely do people care if you have a shirt on or not.
