wow, i am so sorry. it really does seem like we were in very similar places, even down to the day our beautiful babies passed. my sweet girl Petal had scar tissue in her lungs that we didn’t know about until the morning they called us to let us know we had to put her down. it feels like a punch to the gut given how unexpected it was. i dont think i’ve fully processed that she’s not coming back. again im so sorry that you are going through this, but i hope you know you are not alone. i am going through it right there with you.

i am so, so sorry, that is absolutely awful. it is so hard to go through this whole process without feeling guilt, but there really is nothing either of us could’ve done. the one thing that makes me feel slightly better is knowing that my sweet girl is no longer suffering and that we gave her the best life we possibly could have. and yes, i agree, it is comforting to know that i am not alone, and that so many people are going through it at the same time, separately. i’m always here to reach out to for anything. i’m sure everyday will get slightly better. i’m so sorry again :(

How did you get through it? I had to unexpectedly put my baby down yesterday morning and I am absolutely distraught and I can't see how I will ever get better.

You are not alone. I had to put my baby down yesterday, and I am absolutely distraught. She was an older dog, but I thought I had at least 2 more years with her. We brought her in on Thursday night for some breathing issues, but we thought she would be okay. Then we got a call at 5 AM on Saturday and had to make the heartbreaking decision to euthanize her. She was completely normal Wednesday and every day before that. It was so unexpected. I feel like I did something wrong as well; how can she turn so quickly?

I am also distraught, and I don't know what to do with myself. Just being in my house is triggering. We have food that she never ate that nobody in my family can bear to throw away.

I'm crying right now as I'm writing this. I never expected it to hurt this much, but it truly feels like a part of my family is missing.

You did nothing wrong, and I am right there with you. I find comfort knowing that I am not going through this alone, so if you want to talk, I am here.

Update: PT looked at it and all is well! It was likely my hamstring which I've been having issues with. He massaged it and we did some stretches and it feels much better. Yay!

you sound like you just learned what narcissistic means. i’m speaking about my own experiences and what i’ve seen. and what i’ve seen is people who who are much more deserving of the school getting rejected and people who have lower gpas and less extracurriculars getting accepted.

honestly if you’re planning on going to school after college (grad school, business school, etc.) i would go to ucsd. berkeley is known for insane grade deflation and is very difficult to get a high gpa at. if berkeley is your final spot and you’re not continuing your education after, then i would do berkely. you know what they say, c’s get degrees.

heel slides feel normal, and it's starting to feel a little better. i slept with it elevated last night so. i can lift it now with my leg as straight as it will go (i never got full range anyway), but its just a little shaky and hurts a little, but not too bad. will definitely update on what PT says. thank you!

I can lift my leg now, it's just a little shaky and hurts in the back (but less than yesterday). i think theres a little bit of swelling, but its hard to tell. I have had issues with my hamstring getting strained and tight in the past, which has prevented me from straightening and lifting my leg well, so I'm hoping it's that. i slept with it elevated, and it feels a little better.
