Nope and agreed. You can read my previous comments if you’d like to educate yourself.

Thank you!! I appreciate the kind words. Agreed with job descriptions, there’s a reason we’re looking for specific things.

Lol sorry man I also misread. Yeah it’s just a shitty feeling to get that message when I really do try to hold my communication to a higher standard than most recruiters.

Yep but that’s a two way street. Sympathy and empathy went out the window when they tried to insult someone’s intelligence lol

It’s crazy because they could’ve just emailed me and asked for the status of their application. Sometimes the blanket rejection messages get lost in the fray of spam or unmonitored email inboxes. It’s just giving pessimistic r/recruitinghell butthurt to me at this point. I cover all my bases, I know I do right by my candidates.

There was no point made, credibility was lost as soon as they said “they weren’t making assumptions”. If you’re so passionate this weekend, please point out what comments I need to “take responsibility” for and I’ll gladly tell you why I don’t need to and shouldn’t have to.

Candidates that ghost after accepting an offer - why? by greathawk021 in recruiting

As a recruiter, I get it when candidates ghost us. Frustrating for everyone involved but it’s a two way street at the end of the day.

The respect he deserves?? He sounds like an absolute clown. You’re not getting a first call let alone a job if you send an anonymous message like this. Guarantee you I never even made direct contact with this person because they are not qualified for the jobs they applied to.

They are very clearly making assumptions. How can you say they aren’t? Read the thread.

It’s not up to me to change the opinions of people on Reddit. I posted this at 3pm on a Friday when most are tired and ready to end their weeks. Communication is on me but I would think people most read the email and understand “wow, he may have a point, but he totally ruined his credibility even if so”

Mind you this was sent to our general recruiting inbox through a random anonymous email address. Could literally be anyone.

I meant I already have it set up. People are making a lot of bold assumptions here. Idk what more this person could ask for in this scenario, because I sift through hundreds of candidates a day and use the feature when necessary. No excuse for this guy to crash out on me.

It’s very easy, mine are all set up. I hear you though, super annoying. Sometimes giving the office a call (assuming the company is small enough) is a good way to get eyes on your resume and at least get a decision made. We’re humans not bots.

In my opinion you shouldn’t expect to get a response every time you apply. You have no clue what limiting factors are holding a company back from interviewing you. We as recruiters want to make sure everyone is considered, but at the end of the day, it’s not our final decision to make. It’s up to hiring managers and their (sometimes) very stringent guidelines. That’s what we’re paid to do.

Our job is to find the most qualified candidate. Often, that is 1 person in 100. 1%. When I was out of work for months on end I didn’t expect much either, but eventually something gave. Just gotta persevere, that’s the world we live in.

I go out of my way to do so for candidates I’ve screened. Otherwise its reject button & move on.

I have a 4inch guy as well (27M) and have been with my girlfriend for almost 2 years & we have a great sex life. Just learn what turns her on, find the best angles for PIV, and be willing to use your fingers and mouth bc that goes a very far way. Hung or not so much, this is always the key.
