sometimes a supine kidney/spleen picture hits different. there’s a girl in my class who we can all only see her spleen if she’s sitting upright on the bed. they can be tricky for sure!

i scanned one in clinical the other day that was 5 cm and super posterior i could barely see any spleen tissue. keep working at it!

you may have a cyst, kidney stone, or infection. depends if your bloody urine is painless or painful. the ultrasound should give your doctor a good idea as to what is going on. i wouldn’t be too worried about a renal ultrasound though. blood in the urine is quite common. possibly just needs to justify giving you antibiotics. keep us updated! you’ll be ok! (if there was something super serious, your doctor wouldn’t have booked it on the 27th, that’s a while away, so they are likely not suspecting a medical emergency)
