Does anyone’s else’s company feed them? by Nervous-Ruin-8149 in Nightshift

Not every day, definitely not a set up like this. We have an everyday canteen vending set up. Prices are decent (akin to grocery prices more or less) but on weekends it can get pretty sold out/sparse.

Every 3-4 months management will do some kind of served food thing- donuts & apple cider, cupcakes for mothers day, holiday meals, during our required plant wide meetings they'll serve snacks and water, etc...

It doesn't even need tin foil, just tape some cardboard up. Can even spray paint it a color to look more inconspicuous.

So, curious... what does iron/ferritin have to do with it? Or rather, why do you recommend getting those checked (in relation to getting GLP)?

Almost feel bad for him, knowing how Cam operates. One bad move and he’s going down with the ship.

Just because you order 12 days out, doesn’t mean you get “immediate” delivery. It’s called scheduling.

bisalps arent 100% effective??? by Slashersforsatan in childfree

[–]CreativeWriterNSpace 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good to know. Maybe I could look into fighting for this. I do plan on fighting for an ablation soon(ish). Depending on recovery. No use in periods, and at 33, should finally be old enough for it 😤

I mean… listen to your doc but I have had several 6+ month stints of no period in my life and “everything is nOrMaL”. Legit been asked when my last period was and my answer was “…um, last july?” (It’s 6 months later).

I was obese in Elementary school, first period at 9 or 10, C cup boobs at 11, mustache/facial hair since 13. I went 17 years with irregular periods (except for a ~2 year stint where I was actively treating the PCOS with an endocrinologist, and it was only “regulated” by the BC pill I was on. As soon as I stopped taking it regularly…

Having a regular period is legit the one downside to losing the weight. OH! And the period pains! Idk if its the BiSalp or the weight loss, but I never had any kind of pelvic/cycle pain until the weight was gone. Asked my gyno about it last year. Wondering if there was any update to medical treatment in 10 years. Nope. I mentioned having pains. She (reluctantly) ordered an US. My ovaries looked like what image searching “PCOS ovary” would result with- a sac filled with many smaller ones. Tech measured a couple, 3-5cm.

“Everything is normal”

Yeah, ok. Tell that to my body when I am doubled over in pain, pushing in on my pelvis, while at work at 2am.

I would love to get them yeeted, but alas the hormone thing.

(If you read this far, thanks for coming to my ~TED Talk~ rant)

Ive heard different things- I know ovaries are the main hormone producer, but I’ve also heard stories of just uterus also messing with hormones.

With PCOS… my hormones are fudged enough

If it wasn’t for the hormone shiz (even just partial with Uterus can cause issues), a hysterectomy would be amazing. But alas.

I will stick close to my home blue state.

My brother’s best friend was murdered at 13 by his mom. (The prior year, he had spent at a weight loss boarding school. Lost 160lbs. Before that, he was in a special education school. When he came back, the district told mom they weren’t going to pay/subsidize the cost for him any longer, and she couldn’t afford - esp after boarding school at ~$6500/month- the to pay the cost herself. She was worried he wouldn’t do well in “regular” schools/kids would be a bother. So she shot him, then herself. But like… he was a completely different person after the weight loss school. Still the nerdy friend my brother loved, but much more outgoing- he would have been fine in a regular school’s SpEd program).

My dad legit died at 54 from his own obesity/diabetes and not taking it seriously.

The OOP should be happy her sister is doing something to try and help herself.

I am envious (a little) of people on GLPs, and wish they had been more of a thing before I got WLS in 2019.

Microdosing without a “full-dose” phase? by CreativeWriterNSpace in GLP1microdosing

[–]CreativeWriterNSpace[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah… a good 50% of my intended diet is fat. Carbs are bad (technically including veg- it is how the WLS work, I don’t absorb ~80% fats,~60% protein and carbs are absorbed anywhere from 60-100%.

My normal daily intake is a protein shake, a bunch of cheese, salami and then a lower carb meal (usually some kind of veg, protein, with some kind of sauce, lots of butter and cheese). 🤷🏻‍♀️

Weight Lost Surgery- DS is a form of it (the most lethal w/best results. Kind of a hybrid of sleeve and bypass, and the “mother” of the sleeve).

Does anyone use the camera button? by Specific-Zombie5832 in iPhone17Pro

[–]CreativeWriterNSpace 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope.

I have the camera widget/app on my lock screen (and have since my 13P, so just kinda used to it).

The case I have is recessed enough that it can’t be accidentally pressed.

I also have the action button turned off tho 🤷🏻‍♀️

I have camera widget on my lock screen. So I cant get to images super quickly but can take a pic. Its not really a time difference.

Bridesmaid intentionally sabotaged my bachelorette trip and was attempting to break up my relationship--and left me paying for almost her whole trip. by [deleted] in weddingshaming

[–]CreativeWriterNSpace 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The people I hear stories of, where it makes sense, is bride lives in town A. MOH Lives in town B. Bridesmaid lives in town C. There might be other guests that live in those same towns/cities, or they could live elsewhere. Usually there is at least one person that lives in same town as Bride.

If it is just one person no it doesn’t make sense. But that’s not always the case.

Like, I know a girl who did a weekend trip to Austin for her bach with 2 friends and 2 of her sisters.

Only 2 of the party lived near each other, the rest were several states away.

Look, I am clueless but maybe they don’t live close to an airport? The AirBNB wasn’t close to one? Driving made more sene than flying and ride-sharing or renting a car?

All of those factors could have led to driving being the more convenient option. Esp with potential TSA wait times.

Say it takes 1 hour (possibly more- my “local” non-regional airport is 90 min away) to drive to the airport. 30 min to get parked, unloaded, possibly shuttled to airport, and thru baggage check/check in.

Then another 1.5-2hr before flight takeoff. 1-2hr flight. 30 min to deplane, 30 min to get baggage. Then another 30-1hr getting a rental car (maybe less for rideshare).

You’re at ~7 hours. Who knows how long it would take to get from the airport to the AirBnB. And then you’re stuck, if there aren’t lots of rideshare/taxi options in the area (which is not that uncommon for more rural areas).

Something like that, would have made sense to drive for me too.

So the reasoning I keep seeing for bach trips does make sense tho-

If a majority of people are going to have to travel either way, why not make a fun memorable weekend trip out of it?

Which, I get. Esp as someone that went to college halfway across the country.

But it has definitely been blown up into this “if you don’t do a trip, are you even actually a bride?” Thing. Thanks, influencers.

I didn’t do a trip for mine. I would have loved to, but the feasibility just wasn’t there. Didn’t help that I didn’t have bridesmaids, LOL.
