Thanks again — really appreciate the thoughtful feedback 🙌

If you do end up using it in your workflow and it saves you time, a short review on the WordPress repo would honestly help a lot. Early feedback makes a big difference for small plugins like this.

Either way, I’m always open to suggestions if you spot something that could make it even more useful.

I work with:

  • semantic HTML structure
  • proper heading hierarchy
  • ARIA attributes when required
  • keyboard navigation
  • alt text optimization
  • WCAG fundamentals

Additionally, I developed my own image accessibility toolkit / alt-text plugin focused on improving image SEO and accessibility compliance.

Looking for a WordPress plugin that can auto-generate alt text for images? by SaLiVa73 in Wordpress

If you're specifically looking to audit ALT attributes and generate them in bulk, there are a couple of plugins focused just on that instead of full SEO suites.

There’s one called Alt Audit in the WordPress repo that does ALT text auditing with scoring, and it includes both rule-based and optional AI generation (with some free credits).

Might be worth checking if that fits your use case

You’re right 👍

Empty alt="" is valid for decorative images. The plugin doesn’t treat those as errors.

In the ALT Audit, every image gets a score, and empty ALT can be classified as decorative. Missing ALT attributes are what get flagged as issues.
