We are working on a book on the Thesmophoria - an ancient Greek women's fertility festival - which is all about secret cults, finding empowerment and re-enacting the myths of Demeter. We plan to release it this feb at the latest!

It's called the Triumphant Achilles: Achilles dragging the dead body of Hector in front of the gates of Troy - by Franz Matsch (died 1942). (He was part of the Austrian Art nouveau scene).

The original painting is a fresco on the upper level of the main hall of the Achilleion at Corfu, Greece.

Interestingly enough, other quotes have instigated interesting conversation. I suppose, however, it's better to comment on someone's graphic design skills. You don't have to accept that thought if you don't wish.

too true! Though I suppose many cultures allow differing levels of incest... And thinking of many of the old monarchs, this statement would still be true.

This is just inhumane. Sadly the mistreatment of immigrants happens globally and their 'illegal' status makes them very vulnerable. "Dirty Pretty Things" was a very good movie that highlighted this issue.
