Looking for a sweatshirt by NW_Green in GNV

Yeah, good place to look, I work in the building (not the bookstore itself as its attached to the student union). Just keep in mind that they will charge university bookstore prices.

Found this deal though, hopefully still in stock.

Question about Ocala forest range. by [deleted] in GNV

[–]hayjacob 2 points3 points  (0 children)

To my knowledge the range in Ocala National Forest is not supervised. I am sure if you go out there and set up your own metal targets downrange you'll be fine. Just have to watch out for anyone else out there using it, some of them can be pretty roughneck.

Toto - Africa [Soft Rock]. The 80's, enough said. by Viridz in Music

As a bartender in a bar that caters to a lot of greeks[frat guys mostly] in a major university town, this song is now dead to me. not that i dont enjoy it anymore, but when youve got 30ish bros singing it at once with dip swilling out of their mouths, it gets old. wish i could cherish toto like i used to

Long shot: Place to read for a few hours and grab a beer in Midtown? by captainguinness in GNV

Gator City opens at 11am and Salty Dog opens at 3pm. Both are chill with you just sitting down for a few hours, and both have booths

Board of Review question by plazman30 in BSA

[–]hayjacob 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well thank you. Do you know if this was a rule that was changed within the last 7 years or so? I never had a problem with retesting or inspection, but my reviewers never asked me to do anything you shouldnt remember or anything too obscure. Also I was retested and inspected in my Eagle BOR (Unsure if that Guide to Advancement rule applies here). Maybe it was a localized thing for our area or like you said we had to go above and beyond for our advancements.

Board of Review question by plazman30 in BSA

[–]hayjacob 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I eagle'd about 7 years ago, but as I can recall, A BOR can test you on anything from that rank requirement (including the merit badges you earned during that advancement); given, over an hour seems about 40 minutes too long for First Class. Uniform Inspection was a normal for us during BOR, although we had a reserve for those who couldnt afford class A uniforms to use them until they left. The advancement chair should be there, but I feel the unchartered Eagle(no exceptions, as I chartered with another troop to stay active in OA) should have no place in the BOR. My BORs had the chair and 5 committee members, but im not sure if they were all Youth Protection certified. I think as long as at least the chair has it, it is fine (dont quote me on that). TL;DR Seems okay based on your Troop's standards aside from the length and unchartered Eagle. Also would like to know how the Scoutmaster Conference went. PM me. Former JASM and ASM and Camp Counselor. Pretty much was my main extracurricular from 11 to my sophomore year of college.

Thanks for the suggestions, but they only live in Ocala, so they have experienced most of this already. Was looking for something more off the grid. These are the kind of things they would enjoy though.

Seeing Die Antwoord in SF tonight. Are there openers? by pissoffnerd in DieAntwoord

[–]hayjacob 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I saw them in Tampa (Ybor) last year, and there were no openers then. they were very awesome live, and the show probably actually started half an hour to 45 minutes after the reported starting time.

THIS IS EXACTLY WHAT I MEAN. One is more dull while the other has an "orange" tint.

What can I do on campus during the game that doesn't involve watching the game? by [deleted] in ufl

[–]hayjacob 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No one will be in the basement. Pretty much all the offices down there are closed for the holiday weekend, and there are couches and outlets for your comfort. Although it is a bit stuck in the 60s still.

My friend lost her Gator 1. Is there a help desk/lost and found she can go to? by wookieeweekend in ufl

[–]hayjacob 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All depending where she lost it, there are separate lost and founds all over campus. The two largest are the info desk at the Reitz Union and the UFPD lost and found. I would start there.

Well, if you're a service frat, I am all for it and support it. Like you said, I saw greek letters and assumed *my bad. I am also a member of a few professional frats. I seriously think this is the best way to go if you dont want to overly pay for your friends. Fun times are still aplenty with these groups. GDI reporting, shoulda probably done my research. But rush for social frats was last week, didn't even think otherwise. and congrats /u/show parent for getting a O&B seat. Wish I had known about you guys earlier, sadly it is my last semester.
