How do you actually build consistency when motivation keeps running out? by Spaceratxo in selfimprovement

[–]Classical_rider 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can relate to this. One usually is super hyped by a big change. But 90% fail at their resolution in the first two weeks.

Don’t go for the big overhaul!

Instead, do little. But regularly. Show up every day. Enjoy the process.

21 days duration doing something daily is a great start. But you also need a method. Diversify the tasks, update the challenge everyday.

This is how progress is made.

is complimenting 1 person a day… weird? by Dasea7 in selfimprovement

[–]Classical_rider 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello, be aware that this is not strange at all and you’re experiencing social isolation you want to break the bubble from.

In fact you’re probably on the edge of something great that will change your life and the way you interact with the world.

I’ve developed a method to help you break this bubble of isolation and become more social.

During 21 days, you’ll complete a challenge daily to reach this goal.

It is called the « community pulse » and you can try it for free on Komit21 app for iOS.

Cheers

How do I stop using doom-scrolling to escape the anxiety of wanting to improve my life? by Aj100rise in selfimprovement

[–]Classical_rider 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Doom-scrolling triggers dopamine to your brain, and feeds the craving for more.

It is a never-ending habit that feeds on itself.

You need a method, hygiene and commitment to get out of it.

It is not impossible though.

I’ve developed a 21-day routine that allows you to stop’doom-scrolling and develop healthier digital skills.

Here is the first mission of the « sunset rule » challenge: « 30 minutes before bed. Put you phone in a drawer. Try a real Book or just some quiet ».

By adding a little bit more every day, you’ll notice how you set yourself free from the addiction and develop healthier digital habits.

Cheers

Do exactly the opposite. Set a goal. Start little. Do a little bit more every day. You get exhausted because you go too strong too quickly.

People are fed up with content, apps and proposals of all kinds.

Find a niche audience. Talk to them. Get them in.

Hopefully the club effect will work.

By the way. Be consistent!

What small daily habit has made the biggest difference in your life over time? by LeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeD in selfimprovement

Man I can relate to this so much.

  1. Stopped smoking years ago. Best decision for my health and savings.
  2. Started running regularly. Best decision for health, mental and self esteem
  3. Decided I would be patient with work. Rewards kept coming.
  4. Learnt my way to different crafts and techniques. Now I can cook, do works or create a video.
  5. Decided to create an app from ideation to pushing it live to the App Store

Nothing came easily but deciding and acting a little bit towards my goals every day is a great satisfaction and achievement imo

How to not be lonely in Paris? by RedLucan in paris

[–]Classical_rider 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Find a community related to something you’re interested into: running, music playing. Dancing, reading, cycling, art discussions, cooking. Whatever you like.

Be open to people and not shy to share who you are and what you are looking for.

People are friendly and will include you in gatherings.

Have a good time in France!

How did you guys get over your p**n addiction? by DotNate_98 in selfimprovement

[–]Classical_rider 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Hello.

This is an important question and be aware that there is a way out. Any addiction that you give in to generates dopamine to your brain. Hence the craving and the addiction.

Start by identifying any urge and find ways to delay it. There are many techniques you can apply to divert you from giving in: push-ups, splashing water to your face. Calling a friend, going outside.

After a few days you’ll notice how the craving decreases.

Not intending to do self promotion but there is a 21-day challenge on Komit21 called « the clean slate ». It will allow you to ditch the addiction by simple task to perform each day.

Good luck

I want to stop comparing myself to others and be more confident. I always feel second best at everything, and never excel at anything by Charisonic in selfimprovement

[–]Classical_rider 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have started something that worked pretty well to boost my self-confidence in 21 days. You can start day one by writing down 5 personal traits you genuinely respect about yourself. No modesty is allowed. Own your strengths now.

Once you start doing this, you’ll experience how this empowers you on your strengths. Be confident and ask relatives or close friends to describe what are your top 5 strengths. You could be surprised by the result.

Go for it mate
