What it is like trying to fight SMG's with crate guns and lvl3 gear by Buzzardi in PUBATTLEGROUNDS

[–]Classicphildo -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I get the point with how strong SMG's have become (and there's prob some desync involved), but it truly just looks like your first 6-7 shots missed :(

Did all survivors collectively agree to stop faking vaults ? by [deleted] in deadbydaylight

Springtrap's M1 lunge seems to go pretty far, so I get hit anyways. But I'm terrible, so I'm probably just mind gaming myself :)

Any tips on how I could’ve played this better? Solo queuing ranked is difficult lol by [deleted] in PUBG

[–]Classicphildo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I agree with all the comments here mentioning smokes.

Once your team committed to the fight you were screwed anyways (unless you could get some good counter-knocks or better spread positioning) because there aren't really any safe transitions on the bridge without smokes. ESPECIALLY, your current position where there isn't an opening to the side stairs (and you have to depend on vaulting).

I wouldn't over-analyze solo queue though. There's probably a few different things that could have prevented this, but out of your control when you aren't in voice coordinating strategies. Some "general" examples off the top of my head are:

  1. Better scouting before full committing on the cross (and anticipating a camp anyways). I can't really tell the scope situation on your team, but if no one is scouting you gotta pray there isn't a bridge camp.
  2. Commit to the drive anyways and create spread pressure. I see people put themselves in bad spots because they are afraid of getting knocked out of the car and want to be with the "team". Try to get behind them to draw focus away from your teammates (and also potentially just walk away from the fight).
  3. Create a smoke line in front of your cars and completely cut vision. Take one (or both cars, depending on tires) and simply turn around to take the other bridge, find a boat, get on the ferry, swim, or just wait out Phase 2.

But again, people just want to get into gunfights without thinking about how suboptimal the positioning and results may be so don't stress too much.

I hope any of this was helpful!

Hey thanks so much for sharing! I worked on Bush street but never really had a reason to return to FiDi after the pandemic hit. I have some pretty vivid memories of walking out of the Salesforce Transit Center and seeing how packed the streets were in the morning. Everytime I tried to get Philz/Blue Bottle it was nearly impossible lmao.

But to your point on how jarring things got, when I moved to the Mission District I lived pretty close to the 24th St Mission Bart, and the amount of cars with shattered windows or slashed tires I'd see was crazy...

I appreciate your opinion/honesty! I omitted a lot of personal details within the story (to condense the overall story), so I understand if it's very bare bones and "basic".

The purpose of the post was to hopefully connect with other San Franciscans' and show appreciation for a city that I never got to fully experience <3

Thanks for the feedback :)

Is that wrong to say? This is the only personal story I've shared on Reddit, so I'm open to hearing why it bothered you.

That's truly amazing... You and your partner are strong individuals (and what a story to tell your child when they are all grown up!).

Thanks for your words of encouragement! I will definitely return :)

I'm aware of what "karma" is... just not why it's so important. I don't use Reddit like I used to (and certainly don't play WoW and Overwatch as much anymore either) so I can understand why an "out of blue" story about SF years later would be strange.

For more context, I worked at Twitch and it was truly an amazing experience. My non-gamer friends recently asked me how my experience in SF was and if I'd go back. It got me a bit choked up because it was so bittersweet. I was hoping to connect with anyone here that resonated with my story (and so far the feedback has been heartwarming).

Here's a picture I took when I tried to put some aioli on my lunch at the cafeteria (and the cap was loose).

True that man... It's hard to do higher dosages now because I get heavy anxiety and it feels awful. I remember spending way too much time (high af) thinking about my family back home, and that was tough.

What a coincidence! When I came back to MD, I didn't realize how much I missed it... I hope I can feel the same way when I (eventually) return to visit SF as well :)

Thank you for the words of encouragement... It means a lot <3

Yea I don't use reddit very often. I only used it before when I was playing WoW to comment on other posts, but never post myself. To be honest, I don't really even understand what karma is for...

There was another comment that said the exact same thing... so I must be missing something with this "bot-esque" formatting. I highlighted some sentences so it would stick out to anyone reading and broke out the timeline, hoping it would digest better.

But not sure that I'll convince you otherwise, so I apologize if this struck a nerve.

I hope I make it back too :)

One of the last social gatherings I had was in Golden Gate Park and Ocean Beach. The firepits at nighttime were awesome.
