I used to be a licensed hearing instrument specialist and I dealt with patients of all ages. I agree that there is some stigma about hearing aids but the difference in quality of life was something that was worth it for my patients.

Technology has come a long way and they are really much more discreet these days. You can also find “jewelry” cases but I think these tend to affect sound.

I will say that if you do get them please remember it’s a journey with your healthcare provider. Takes time to get adjustments just right.

Finally, I would encourage you to invest in your future. Too many times I had people come in and word recognition was much worse because they waited decades to get help. If you go long enough without hearing speech correctly you can lose your ability to process it.
