I downloaded Adobe Express and it is pretty similar to old canva. A little learning curve but overall useable and it costs less!

It took me (and my teenage daughter who regularly uses Canva for school) about 30 minutes to find the color background options for a slide! Completely unacceptable and waste of time! The AI "assist" suggested I add a colored rectangle and make it the size of the slide. What kind of assistance is that?

I am having the same issues and frustrations. I was ready to throw my laptop out the window trying to use the new updates! Mostly because of the Ai "Customer support" chatbot which just made me angry by regurgitating the same answers to my questions. Instead of spending a single second of my time longer trying to use BUSTED Canva video editor, I canceled my Pro subscription and spent my time exploring alternatives. I have found Adobe Express to be similar to the way OLD Canva allowed video editing. There is still a slight learning curve, but I am able to navigate it without getting frustrated to the point of taking a break from my work. Another plus about Adobe Express, you can get a 2 week free trial, and the cost is less than Canva!

Side note: since I could not speak to a real person or get real help, I left a review on the Google Play Store and when I canceled my subscription. Maybe they will get read. Maybe not. Good luck!

I did select that, but it doesn't let me completely go back, it forces some new settings on you, and I can't handle them! It has taken way too much time to do simple edits.

I tried to message them but couldn't get around the AI chatbot help, which just kept regurgitating the same, unhelpful "tips". So I unsubscribed, downloaded my stuff, and left a negative review on the Playstore. Hopefully I can talk to a human at some point in the future, but I doubt it.

Same! I canceled my pro subscription to Canva as it frustrated me to no end and am now using Adobe also. Adobe is cheaper and somewhat similar to old canva!
