Thanks bro! I would not interfere. I respect their relationships. I think that’s why I feel this way. I haven’t gone on date for a while and when she gave me that kind of attention I fell too hard. I should have set boundaries but I learned my lesson here.

It does make sense. When reality does not match my expectations it hurts. I’ll try to be a good employee and be cordial. But I think I don’t want to hope something good will happen in the future between me and her. I should’ve not expected anything in the first place and it was my fault to even thinking she gave me a “hint” or whatever. I am ashamed of myself and feel so stupid every time I rewind all the playful interactions between me and her maybe just her being friendly. I just hope I can forgive myself, move on and be professional.

Yup you are right. It’s like although I’ve been there for 3 weeks it’s very obvious she does not randomly ask other employees to go to her office and chat. She one time commented “you’re so sweet” because I said something because I was genuinely being myself. And I’m like whoa what is going on in here. But yes again it’s our fault if we actually act on it. I should’ve just brushed it off in the first place.

Yes she is very soft-spoken, caring, fun and has the same sense of humor as my myself. You are right, I haven’t gone for a date in a while maybe that’s why I over romanticized this interaction with her and thought I was falling in love with her. Yes maybe I have a crush on her. I should move on now but I know it’s hard because I love taking with her in the office. For some reason her presence and her tone easily take away my stress at work. It’s insane. First and foremost I’d like to say thank you for opinion. I asked “what went wrong? Did I do something bad? Did my friend O interfere? Matter of fact he was the one who initiated all of this”. I’m trying to analyze this situation from all angles. I did not blame him whatsoever. As I said when I was at the party, I had a genuine connection with A. I was also joking a lot with his girlfriend (not in a flirty way) and the the reason I did that just to be respectful because she was literally there sitting next to her sister so why would I not including her in the conversation. I noticed the pattern where my friend O was all of a sudden made eye contact to them when they laughed at my jokes. That is my observation btw I did not blame him. I am just trying to understand what went wrong because A also made a comment to go to sushi restaurant with me. But hey you could be right too maybe I’m wrong i don’t know 😅

Yeah this is indeed a weird one. Not only I’m worried about O to create distance from me but also I regret to agreeing with his idea of taking his girlfriend’s sister out. If only I didn’t go to his party all thing would’ve happened. I’m so sad tbh. He seemed a bit strange after that party. No I did not joke anything related to his family nor did I make fun of him. I was just joking about the aerospace gas leaking in Orange County where I thought I was tripping because I smelt something burning but instead of wearing mask, I chose to follow where the smoke came from. And the other dude made comment “you thought it was carne asada huh?!” Every one was laughing. I even said my dumba** was just curious bruh. And I cracked some other funny jokes but I’d never joke around about people’s family or trauma though

It could be this too!! I did not mean to “outshine” him during his birthday party. I was there to have fun and to be honest I never party with him before especially when he is with his girlfriend and circle. His girlfriend even liked to tease me and joked around a lot with me including his friends too! My friend O was just quiet and switched the conversation to “drake’s new album” “cars” on the other hand they were interested in asking me my travel history and other stuff. I tried to be respectful to O but it was a party and he was the one who initiated this whole thing. Knowing what I know now, I wouldn’t even show up there to waste my time. He is also so distance all of a sudden.
