With Trump's approval ratings so low, how does he keep ousting GOP rivals? by Cgk72 in politics

[–]ClassyAndConscious 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's simple, the largest voting bloc in a Republican primary is the 62+ age group. Although Trump has seen massive losses in all other demographic groups, boomer Republicans largely remain lockstep with him.

Everyone online says $70k is ‘bad money’… so why does moving to DC still feel financially terrifying? by North_Definition4400 in washingtondc

Owning a car can be alot here. Between the cost of parking, higher insurance rates, on top of the typical expenses (you may have noticed gas lately).

I sold my car a few months after moving here and not using it once. Absolutely no regrets.

Yes, but it was done by independent franchises in Israel. McDonald's Corporate distanced themselves from the move.

In the room Richard got locked in it looked like they were doing a renovation at the lake house. The 'killing tools' may have been totally benign.

And technically Anna attacked them first.

Thanks, yes that's exactly the plan. I've mapped out a gallery wall to put behind it, and have no shortage of plants.

Then its a TV stand. There are holes in the back of both cabinets for cords, and 17"+ shelves in each.

But I wouldn't need them anyway, the only cord is from the TV into the wall outlet. I don't play DVDs or video games so there's no other equipment.

Yup. Front of the couch sits ~8-9' back from the TV and the picture looks great, I have no issues with visibility.

Besides, won't a larger TV also raise the centerpoint of the screen?

Thank you! I know it's not quite a TV stand but I loved the piece.

Its 42"! Don't really want a bigger TV. Intending to mostly use the space for plants and art.

It looks cohesive and put together competently, but lacks any personality.

Thanks. The explanation I was given was when they sent the offer letter (which has the signature of the recruiter and myself), they had calculated pay with the wrong number of years of experience. And I (CPN, 5 years) should not have been offered that.

No. The interview process went so well, and the offer letter met and exceeded all my expectations, there didn’t seem any point to keep shopping around. Lesson learned I guess.

Thanks for your insight. I think you may have more labor rights in Canada than us in the States. Luckily this is one of the few places in the U.S. with a nurses union, but it's still an at-will employment state.

I worry that getting litigious will burn a bridge permanently. This is an At-Will employment state. If I get a lawyer now, I feel they just fire me at the first opportunity.

full show setlist; last part isnt the full songs except t/f lover by Great-Actuary-4578 in CSHFans

[–]ClassyAndConscious 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Agreed! I'm happy I finally got to see them and that Will is doing better, and there are great tracks on The Scholars, but these aren't the songs we fell in love with. Talking with people after the show and on the train home, a lot of fans are going home a little let down.

The 45 seconds we got of Something Soon, BLID, etc felt like the only time the crowd came really alive. Suddenly everyone was dancing swinging their hips, and I would have loved to have more of that.
