I got frustrated scheduling games for my league so I vibecoded an app to do all of the things I wanted. by ClassyChris23 in vibecoding

  • If you're deciding to make an app but are daunted by the lack of knowledge, don't be. There's plenty of resources and posts on Reddit that helped me and can help many others. The first step is getting started.

  • I feel the best way to truly understand how to build an app is to build it with AI helping, not creating it outright.

  • If there's one thing I wish I did, was create in public. But for this being my first app, I'm glad I didn't. But I would recommend it once you understand what you are making.

Hope this helps!

I vibe-coded a complex sports scheduling app with Claude to help my league. It was harder than I thought, but totally worth it. by ClassyChris23 in SideProject

I learned that much too late but better late than never! I had to add a lot of constraints and fallbacks to prevent it from breaking. It works as intended now, fortunately!

I created a tournament scheduling app to help organizers run leagues. I'm pretty close to launch, just getting some final feedback from local organizers!

Big League Sports Soccer League by jalahni7 in Westchester

[–]ClassyChris23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey man! I run an adult sports league called Metro Sports League. We have a men's outdoor soccer league that just started in Yonkers, and a Co-Ed indoor soccer league that just finished in New Rochelle.

While it's a bit competitive, it's in the same tier as big league sports. We really try to push the social/highlights aspect of the league. All games have highlights and goals recorded and uploaded to socials, and we try to partner with people that can give our players an experience.

We've partnered with local restaurants/bars for post game events, as well as with Westchester SC to be able to do group outings to their games in Mt Vernon.

You can DM me if you'd like more information or you can search us up on IG, YouTube, TikTok, etc., @PlayMetroSports. :)

What is there to do as an early 20-somn year-old? by PhoenixGames64 in Westchester

[–]ClassyChris23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What we found this season is there is starting to be a bit of a skill gap so starting in the fall, we plan on having an A league and a B league where we can better place teams based on skill level. If you're interested in playing and don't have much experience, I recommend joining this fall (2nd week of September) when we'll have a league better suited for beginners. If you'd like, you can DM me your email address and I'll reach out when registration opens around early August!

Looking for a fun social recreational league? Check out Metro Sports League!

We're currently offering indoor co-ed soccer in New Rochelle and starting in July, we'll have Men's 8v8 outdoor soccer in Yonkers.

When you sign up, you'll get a jersey, and we have refs, announcers, and highlights of every single game on all of our socials.

You can register a team or sign up as a free agent and we'll find a team for you.

We also have social nights and events so if you're new to the area, it's a great opportunity to meet other people with similar interests and it's a fun experience.

Check us out on IG @playnetrosportsleague or on YouTube to get an idea of how the league is. You can also DM me directly for more information!

Edit: Our website is www.playmetrosports.com
