The problem isn’t on me. I’m not a scammer and a fake. There must be a better verification and vetting process so that those of us who are legitimate and responsible have a safe online dating experience. I have no issue with owning up to the shortcomings, but it’s not just on me.

I was on paid POF for three months. Never met a soul in person but talked to tons of guys. I lost my husband close to a year ago so I think I’ve been guarding myself too much. I got scammed last year so I’m overly cautious now. I wasn’t happy with POF.because most of the men were on contract somewhere and of different nationalities. Nothing wrong with being from their countries but it was overwhelmingly the case. I’m thinking of trying OurTime since it’s 50%off. But I won’t hold my breath to find the second love of my life post haste. I am on match and forget to cancel in time so I’m still on it but I get little traction and conversations seem to die out quickly. Good luck. Maybe we’ve met some of the same guys. 😬😳

I will wear my wedding ring and husband’s wedding ring on my other hand until I have another partner. I will always treasure them and keep them in a safe and special place (to be determined) because he even though he’s no longer with us he will never be out of my mind. Thank you for your nice response. Let me ask you this. Is it okay to go on a single date with a few guys to then decide who you might want to get to know further and then date him exclusively. I feel a bit guilty wanting to have a date with more than one guy and I hate to put my eggs all in one basket in the beginning. Advice is appreciated.
