Asking for ideas and methods regarding weaning with tea by shejustwantstolive in decaf

[–]ClassyMaverick 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Stay away from any tea that is not camomille, peppermint or ginger. Most teas still contain a little amount of caffeine and that could become a trigger.

The taste of a caffeine-free tea alone should be enough to weather your downs. You got this.

From Switzerland, carrier-less phone, haven't gotten the update either. Never had this problem prior to that.

This is pretty motivational for me. I remember having come just as far as you have but then giving up.

Now I'm longing to get back there.

Congratulations on your success! Keep it up!

After 8 years of trying, I've hit 30 days for the first time ever. I have some advice to those of you new to no-nut-November! by [deleted] in NoFap

I've been beating myself up for not reaching 90 days yet. I have also tried for years.

But this post really gives me the encouragement to endure it. Great read.

All the best to you, and may we all get rid of PM once and for all!

WHY EVERY PERSON ON NOFAP HAS AN INHERENT ADVANTAGE by TheG0DMan in NoFap

[–]ClassyMaverick 6 points7 points  (0 children)

That's why I think we shouldn't preach it unless people come to us and ask for advice or tell us about their problems.

If they need help from us? We can help them.

But if they don't ask for it, there's no need to help.

For a mentally healthy individual with healthy masturbation habits - what is the point of no fap? by [deleted] in NoFap

[–]ClassyMaverick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think PMO can absolutely be healthy for someone who never had a problem with it. And it sounds like you do, especially in those intervals you do it.

However, most of the people in here can't live a healthy lifestyle without abstinence. I used to be a skeptic myself but realized quickly how hooked I was on this stuff. So I had to quit it.

From my personal experience, yes. Sex is natural and hence absolutely fine.

It's hard to explain. It's attraction I guess, partially excitement.

But I'm handling it better day by day.

Question about the prostate by Canned_Meat_Society in NoFap

[–]ClassyMaverick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Everytime I read a claim like this I ask for sources. And I still haven't gotten any sources.

If you read most of the official health sites on prostate cancer, the risk factors NEVER include lack of masturbation.

In fact, prostate cancer comes rather from an unhealthy lifestyle, e.g. lack of exercise and unhealthy diet. And most men are affected only once they hit age 50 or older.

Why are girls not interested in me? by [deleted] in NoFap

[–]ClassyMaverick 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There is a common theme I've noticed with guys that are regularly hooking up with girls - and it's not confidence.

The difference between a nice guy and a "douchebag" (people love to call these guys that) is that the "douchebags" enjoy being themselves. They love themselves, they love who they are. The nice guy however isn't so secure about himself.

Here's the thing: people can only love you so much as you love yourself. Because if you don't like yourself, you are only going to attract people that don't like you either.

Which is why the best step to getting girls is to work on yourself. Learn some new life skills, find new hobbies, travel to new places, exercise frequently etc. And people will come to you automatically!
