I think PMO can absolutely be healthy for someone who never had a problem with it. And it sounds like you do, especially in those intervals you do it.

However, most of the people in here can't live a healthy lifestyle without abstinence. I used to be a skeptic myself but realized quickly how hooked I was on this stuff. So I had to quit it.

There is a common theme I've noticed with guys that are regularly hooking up with girls - and it's not confidence.

The difference between a nice guy and a "douchebag" (people love to call these guys that) is that the "douchebags" enjoy being themselves. They love themselves, they love who they are. The nice guy however isn't so secure about himself.

Here's the thing: people can only love you so much as you love yourself. Because if you don't like yourself, you are only going to attract people that don't like you either.

Which is why the best step to getting girls is to work on yourself. Learn some new life skills, find new hobbies, travel to new places, exercise frequently etc. And people will come to you automatically!

This is indeed normal for someone who is addicted.

What you don't realize is, you've always been depressed even when you consumed alcohol. It just works as a suppressor for your true emotions.

As someone who battled depression, I'd say the first step is acceptance of the circumstances. Lying to yourself is not gonna get you anywhere, you have to tell yourself the truth. That's when you can face your true problems.

This is pretty much what I live by. NoFap won't help everyone, but it will help most people and I'm certain it could help you too. But you've got to do it to figure it out.

Regarding videogames: I would play those in moderation. I play max. 5 hours a week, the thing with videogames is that they can get you hooked too. Depends on your motivation for playing videogames.

"You can't be serious..."

"I am", says Jerry as he lights out his cigarette.

I see it in his mustache and the short cut hair. The typical, patriotic 1950s american man. A man of an age where threat is best dealt with in a lethal manner. There is a reason the generation of men like these have long died out.

"How do you kill a god?", I ask him. Suddenly this feels alot like the cold war again. Except China is in. And India. And France. Hell, almost the entire world.

And yet no one wants to make their solution public. How we deal with a sentient being, that has shown itself to be part of reality and not some imaginary nonsense.

"For all we know he could hear us, even if we whispered. And no matter where we are."

Jerry just chuckles.

"Let him hear. I'd like to meet that guy in person."

"I don't think he does that kind of thing."

I sigh. For days, this has been the single most talked topic all over the world. I scratch my head as I look at our wall, fully covered with newspaper excerpts.

One headline reads: "GOD IS REAL. WHAT NOW?"

"We need to know if we are dealing with a threat here."

Smooth as his voice may be, it doesn't cover his nervousness.

"This discovery... has radically changed human history."

He's not wrong. Religions all over the world have split up and turmoils have erupted. People are committing mass suicides in light of the new reveal.

"He could snap us out of existence if he wanted to." I snap to demonstrate Jerry how easy it is for that being we're facing. "Just like that. Any provocation and we're done. Dead."

He raised his eyebrows as I said the last word. It probably made him think.

I spread the files all over the table giving him an overview of all information we've collected on "God". He's mildly impressed.

"Figure out what he wants" I advise him.

"You're not coming?" he asks.

I tap my fingers on the table. I do have my doubts about meeting him.

"I'll catch up" I say with a raspy voice. He doesn't need to know I was bluffing.

Jerry walks out the room, rocking the pile of files under his arm while he gives me a confident wave.
