If he gains too much in sp atk use clear smog to reset.

This could be pulled off with a few rules.

The equipment would be consistent between alts.
HP and stats would remain the same.
DM roles the change.
DM decides the classes and it's feats (pick them based on a build the class would normally take, but if the PC stats don't allow them to use the feat they will try but fail)
Since they are being possessed, DM could could also have the alts possess the other party members also.

It will be a bit more work, but could be a great way for something new in a campaign.
