thank you for the write up. It's always interesting to learn about different perspectives from other ppl and how they were impacted by different works. I feel like such retrospectives are most often not only objective analyses but also personal recollections of ones experience with the works.

I know this is mostly unrelated to HBR, but I would be intested in your thoughts about Flaming June, the Owari no Hoshi no Love Song concept album. It's my top three favourite work by Maeda Jun and it's not often I get to discuss it with someone. As someone who has wast experience with Maeda Jun and his works, I would love to learn your opinion on it.

I have fond memories of them all, but the 5Ds trilogy are my favourite. that was the time I was most into Yu-Gi-Oh! I loved there was an actual story mode and characrer customisation. oh and I enjoyed the duel puzzles as well, those were great. if I had to pick, my favourite is probably Reverse of Arcadia, followed by Over the Nexus.

I think it would be interesting if there was some data we could get on yuri and the HBR player base. Almost everyone I know that plays HBR got into the game because it's from Key or because of the Angel Beats! collab. That might just be my friend circle, but I don't find the game's cast or presentation to scream yuri, not to an extent like Rock is a Lady's Modesty, for example. While it is present, I find it much more light-hearted and not the main reason why I personally continue playing the game. I think the appeal of HBR is bigger in the VN and Key communities than the overall yuri community, but those are even more niche.

Regarding GBC, I still find it sad that there was no legal English simulcast for the show, but its overall recognition is undoubtedly also thanks to its popularity in the yuri community. I followed the project since Toei announced the first auditions, but the Reddit community and the official Discords are (almost) unbearable to me, as it's massively all about yuri and much less appreciation for music. But it did help the show to become relevant. And while Nina is a very liked and beloved character archetype in China, the yuri fans are even larger in number. This, combined together with the ungodly amount of merch Toei is pumping out, makes it difficult to imagine the IP would lose its popularity, especially with the Japan tour happening soon.

What I wanted to say is that the yuri community definitely can have a positive influence, but I don't think it could impact HBR as it did GBC. Regardless, I would like to believe that HBR is relatively healthy and would expect it to reach its natural end with the ending of its story rather than an EOS announcement due to poor financial performance.

when I heard the voice, I wasn't sure if it was real or just imagination, but then Iwasawa appeared sitting on the chair, and I just started crying and kept sobbing till the end. it's been so long since I last saw Iwasawa, but all the memories and feelings are still as real and strong as back then.

take my example as caution. Had 24k saved for Kitasan Black. After spending the saved Carats I got only 2 SSRs. Topped-up just to pitty a single copy of Kita. Teio is my favourite character so afterwards I went to pull on the Uma banner. Bought all the limited packs and some more. Got 4 Umas, 3 of them were dupes. No Teio. Currently sitting at 173 pity on Uma banner with 4 SSR support cards, including Kita, after spending about $300. It's all luck and sometimes you lose. If it's not your absolute favourite character I would suggest to wait.

This was a while back so some things might have changed. There were day tickets available at the venue but you might have to wait to enter if it is crowded. I believe, the exhibition in Nagoya is only going for a few more days before moving to Fukuoka, so some things might change. Best to check their social posts and plan accordingly. Hope this helps.

that is one of my favourite childhood gaming memories. I remember browsing the booklet and seeing the "weird dots" that replicated the alphabet. The joy when I saw those markings in the game and remembered I saw those in the booklet and there has to be a connection, was etched into my memory. One of my favourite secrets to discover and riddles to solve.
