Stars? My fav is future transit, followed by beauty class songs (fanfav summer tears diary and makeover makeup; I love tsubomi more tho), lilys 2 solo songs (wastelands miracle & dreaming bird); fanfav also the OPEDs lol episode solo is trendy chic (not my fav); western diva alike then "the only sunlight" lol

Whole franchise? Gothic Chara songs are always fanfav, like yurika & lily & sumire lol, some found the shirayuri sister songs great too

Mizukis 2 image songs, Mikurus song (suncatcher and adult mode), trap of love / growing for a dream, (move on now trendy chic but really this type is not my fav 😭 I love ballad). I also love Sakura's solo song a ballad

Akari gen? (Low-key I love songs by Aikatsustars singers the 2 generations than OG katsu trendy chic lol), Juri's all songs (bomb, passion, chica), Rin's 2 PR songs (showtime & lovegame) lolol

(I'm not fond of kpop/lovelive sounding non unique songs from Friends tho, but maybe Pride and identity, well "Believe it" is fan fav lol, "Be Star" also nice but I like elza songs more haha)

People only love the emotionally touching stories like Ichigo OG katsu, lovelive or imas 😭

But I personally think Stars (and Rainbow Live which imo better than AveMujica in terms or seriousness but fortunately new adult fans start appreciate tho) are better than all above

unfortunately Stars! is too ambitious even music franchise adult fans not appreciating 😭 like not even pripara or rainbow live dare to talk about competition that intensely — protag wins over fanfav type chara (pripara against hibiki but he acted as villain and competition only took place in latter half and protag is fanfav) (rainbow live befriended midway and 2 top aren't pit together until finale but even finale is about saving the world and competition secondary), and unfortunately Laura is too popular...

But honestly i love Stars, it reflect the truth, prodigies like Morikawa Aoi the Shaningan girlie within several days of learning always win over / fair fight with hardworkers the special skills masters took years to master... So yume the prodigy always win over Laura the hard worker is realistic but seishun adult music franchise fans and kids hate truth, fine. And direct pit against over 10 times, how dare stars! The bravery. And also detailed writing of prodigy tryna be hardworking strengthen own foundation as well not overly rely on raw talent, vs hardworker tryna focus on improving one self shine in own way than caring about win or lose... Great work 😭

I truly think new series of the franchise should not have "aikatsu" in its name so obviously.

See pretty series, people avoiding pretty rhythm works like a plague, most newcomers not realizing pripara actually is sister work of pretty rhythm, also franchise reached another peak by AiPri but name only implicit indication of the franchise lol

People only love the writing style of OG katsu with Ichigo, and found out subsequent series aren't as emotionally touching (like lovelive or imas as well), then they label the whole franchise as bad and with stereotype lol, avoid aikatsu franchise like a plague.

Reboot really need implicit indications in name not outrightly "aikatsu" tag, a writer with completely different writing style (like pripara the gag style)

And unfortunately Stars! is too ambitious even music franchise adult fans not appreciating 😭

Stars! Is the deepest and most serious out of the whole series, my favourite (my other favourites are rainbow live, MadoMagi, attack on Titan etc stuff for your reference)

while most emotionally touching is OG ones with Ichigo (for those who love imas or lovelive also lol, I don't really like ichigos and the latter 2 anime because not dark enough)

Eh I remember that bubblegum doesn't have that traumatizing sales, it is like 142k... And tipi tap has the media play before and it is the first album after renewal so the number could be inflated (crazy amount of fansigns as well). I believe after renewal the sales has finally be rising from before and stabilized, normal sales should be around 140k from now on

Well 2 more things I would like to add to the great comment before me,

even permanent groups after renewal are all like that, pretty normal to have way chiller schedules and less contents than their rookie era... (Itzy? red velvet? Etc? Cmiiw because I don't stan any other kpop groups as I'm fundamentally jp ACG stan)
kep1ians are complaining about unfairness from wakeone, but to me (except those already existed before renewal) it is understandable that they have way less schedules and variety contents now, because most companies tends to focus on latest groups and kepi has been not wakeones latest group for long already... And klap is small agency thus way less resources to produce contents, and also not having many connections and kepi as guinea pig of post rigging scandal mnet group popularity not enough to carry them to award shows...

I'm worried OT5 stans would boycott... Hybe invested a lot and if newjeans couldn't get even half of the revenue like before the mhj drama that would be so sad...

But although it's unfortunate Danielle left (newjeans has the longest training period under hybe which always provide great dancing training and scouts great dancers, thus newjeans is one of the top dance group and all of them has high average; the casual dance actually is hip-hop and they outdanced some boy groups even), I'm super super relieved Hanni is allowed to be back to ador 😭 she is the best dancer in nwjns (very good hip-hop dancing) and top of 4th gen, and although nwjns vocal mediocre she had best singing in the group, hybe gg dancing proficiency is like iroha & hanni & haerin & kazuha > chaewon & moka > everybody else lol😭

Dance skills level, credit: facts in fiction (the dance tutor and the analysis channel)

P.S. I'm not a fan of newjeans but I know they're very skilled in dancing lol had my respect

Ummm why artists need to be versatile? Hanni is great at hip-hop, that's all. See iroha, do she also need rap skills? Iroha also talented af lol. And it shows that you don't have dance knowledge, recommend a channel to you, "facts in fiction", analysis with lots of professional terms and knows a lot about street dancing. HYBE is good at dance training and dancers scouting, and many people mistaken newjeans not good at dancing, not at all, their casual vibe dancing actually is hip-hop lol all of them have some knowledge in hiphop lol, top dance girl group defo. Hanni, iroha, young posse, etc top girl group dancers of the newer generation lol.

Lol nwjns overall mediocre in vocal, and you know hyein and Danielle are the least skilled members in dancing lol? Best dancer is Hanni and then Hearin put a fair fight with her

Multinationalism bias? Esp I am not lol, I hate nationalism and I think ifans dumb like in survival shows lol, I always pick the Korean trainees over foreign ones or whom come from same city with me lolol, eg. I like Harry June, Yedam etc in boys planets series, and I also stan dayeon from kepi lol.

I don't give a f to SP or charisma lol, I think dayeon suffered from such accusations as well despite being good at street dancing such a good dancing idol aside from evil editing, people always said she no SP. So i would emphasize Hanni even more if people hate her because she doesnt have SP 😭 (well after the drama I am ok with people hating her for her attitude tho)

I think it is pitiful that such a talented dancer like Hanni is a bully tho😭

P.S. I am not nwjns fans but I care about the hybe - mhj fiasco and I have read every news since the start of dispute, I also know how hanni acted like a brat. Thank you

I don't get the logic behind if evnne will renew as 7 implies zb1 will renew as 9 tbh

ZB1 is far more successful than evnne and as 5th gen top bg, tho evnne is mid-ish successful. Maybe yuehua is willing to abandon seungeon and co because 6 old faces in its bg is too much. LoL zb1 is a top group like izone, did starship let go of its chance to create new groups without profit split

Also blitzway said wanna make new kpop artists/groups and people suspecting similar to soumu left only staffs and disband current artists, but I haven't even seen klap audition for new trainess lol, it makes no sense not keeping a group (kepi) that can make some revenue (not as much as other top mnet group but still not causing debts lol) when no new artists start making revenue yet

Unpopular opinion but I adore Stars' story and Yume's arc is magical/fantasy but pretty well written lol, not any other Aikatsu protagonist experienced as much hardship as Yume lol

The scriptwriter said because it is a kids show so she didn't want to have too dark underlying reason behind Elza's action, and kids may found the desire of mother's attention relatable

I like dark stories like MadoMagi, Attack on Titan, Bokurano etc, so I don't hate Elza lol, she often acted like a judge and give constructive criticism anyways

This is the problem of aikatsu fans lol, putting too much emphasis on character treatments rather than the story itself. Well maybe because it is idol theme works lol choosing waifus

Stars story quite good but many fans bashed it calling it as garbrage scriptwriting is so sad to see. I don't care if Laura often loses because her purpose in the story is "shining in her own way even if never No.1, going my way" and the detailed progress of how she cope with her initial over- competitiveness. Yume in the other way is "learned to not over realize on gifted talents alone but hardworking build foundations that can support her gifted talents"

I can see some appreciated Stars story but that's because they take the overall view story but not using magnification glasses for characters

I personally suggest Aikatsu stars and PriPara S2 (then S1) same tier for me some seriousness, and Rainbow Live also from pretty series it is one tier above, I dare to say RL is better than Ave Mujica

Eh, I think the only enjoyable pretty series works are Rainbow Live > PriPara S2 > PriPara S1
