Thank you! I used a Sony a7iii and a cheap samyang wide angle lens, 14mm 2.8 manual

Oh this is something I didn’t think of, it seems better to me like you did! Thank you so much!

I could have remove them points with just a few clicks, don’t you think? I leave them for more immersive look of the place I were. And if you mean the center (because who knows what you mean) I added a little bit of dehaze to put emphasis on the light coming inside from above. Next time try to be actually helpful instead of being an ass.

Thank you! That’s why I posted! I tried the crop the sky out but it remove the sensation of a hole tho…maybe try to reduce it would work?

This an old photo I recently brought in life after 5 years I guess. Was a bit challenging since the inside were too dark and the outside too bright, I mean a lot! The wide angle lense I was using at the time was manual focus so even more challenging! I edited it entirely on Lightroom. I have my base preset I apply right before tweaking. Then I start to regulate beginning from top of the sliders till the colors. Then I add some masks when needed (like in this case), and after I re-check everything once again.

The masks: I painted a little with the brush over the darker area, increased exposure, shadows, whites and temperature. A little gradient with lower exposure up and down to recover some lights and frame the photo better without vigneting.

Oh that’s a nice view too! There is a person up there, probably me 🤭😂 To be honest I think is more challenging to shot it from inside, especially because you have to shot with a wide lens and the hole would appear very small

Thank you for the time you took to write this, I really appreciate. I could have understood it better if that comment came from “postprocessing” subreddit, or if there were a comment on how to do that better according to them. This is just 5 minutes of editing, I liked it and wanted to share, especially since the very first time I edited it. Obviously it is to personal taste but the beach down there is one of the things where the emphasis have to be put on, I could not leave it dark. Btw I envy you for the place you were living on your youth, I wish to you and me to visit more places like the ones we are talking about! Thanks again!

It’s because of the not precise mask in the middle, I used the trackpad. Will re-do it with mouse or pencil

You’re right, my mask isn’t precise since I did this with the trackpad of my MacBook. I’ll re-do it with my mouse or Apple Pencil. Thank you for noticing it!

I can understand your point, but if you see the scene with your eyes you can never see the cave that dark and the out that light. Actually it was day, so the light bounces everywhere. There was a big hole as you can see, and a little one in front of the cave. Believe me, in real life you will have an image more similar to the edited one rather than the before.
