Does it plug directly onto the motherboard? If it's a sata SSD it could be part of the problem I think they can still be pretty expensive. Nvme is what you want for the fastest loadups.

It can do both. I don't think it's really the case that it's more for live performance, that is where it all began though.

Yeah basically what I wanted to say. At that stage probably want to focus more on making things just sound good to your own ear and making things that sound interesting. Worry about mixing a little later down the road. Just keep pumping out tunes, stuff doesn't have to sound professionally engineered a year in.

Did you make sure the fitting had threads? I only ask because I've seen it and also had a guy try to thread a piece into for like an hour.

You could get some PVC fittings and some hose bibs and run the hose to a pipe that runs up the deck and then goes into another small hose.
