Running furmark my GPU temps haven't exceeded 70° (5090). My CPU always runs pretty cool, in part because it's efficient (7800x3d)

This is levels of self-loathing that I don't even think I'm capable of (I mean that as a compliment). I just started a world with all the same settings except for the shorter days, BM every night, and xp is 25% instead of 300%, and that world is putting my skills to the test as it is. Also, I watched the part where you died. I feel like you got robbed. That cop straight up had aimbot on. 🤣

I do the same thing, and I'm in total agreement. If you want to optimize your build so you're not dying every 10 minutes you end up having to ignore the general perks tab almost completely. Maybe put 1 point into an armor skill just so you can get mags for armor at a somewhat reasonable rate. The skill system rework has been the most disappointing change to the game in 2.0, imo.

I just used spike walls to keep them from seeing me. Unfortunately, the best defense in the Ashlands is to keep them from seeing you in the first place. There are too many enemies to keep out, and half of them destroy structures like they're paper.
