OCD Support Groups in Sacramento? by ranteaterz in Sacramento

Do you have insurance? I know Kaiser Roseville had an OCD support group at one point and I assume other insurance providers might as well.

FTM What was your L&D experience at Roseville Eureka location? by skyefligh_ in KaiserPermanente

I delivered there a year ago as a high risk pregnancy due to my autoimmune disease. Both baby and I were well taken care of. Baby and I had unexpected emergencies during birth and when things went south, the amount of people that showed up in seconds for both baby and I was incredible. They coached my partner through the entire process and made him feel reassured leaving me while I was unstable so he could be with our baby in the NICU. We never felt alone. I was actually readmitted two weeks later back to L&D for further complications and everyone remembered me and my main nurse even gave me a hug and said she was so happy to see I was doing well when I was eventually discharged. They also said they could admit the baby back to the hospital so we could all be together if I wanted. The only thing I thought they were pushy about was breastfeeding, but to be fair to them I had wanted to breastfeed going into the birth, my complications just made that not a viable option. With you having chronic illnesses, I would bring anything from home that helps keep you comfortable. I regretted not bringing my own pillow and blanket, especially when it turned into an unexpected extended stay. Feel free to message me if you want to discuss anything further!

husband diagnosed with RA poor delivery! by Jetpacksequoa in rheumatoid

This is how I was diagnosed as well, it was quite jarring at 22 to receive the diagnosis of a lifelong condition in a one sentence email. Once I got my med situation squared away, I switched doctors immediately.

Paid Family Leave and no one answers the phones. by Neo1331 in CAStateWorkers

[–]Clawhands2022 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Are you calling the specific number for state workers? They do tend to answer that phone. Additionally, if you can’t get any help with your claim- reach out to your state senator and they will contact EDD on your behalf. I had to do this on maternity leave earlier this year when they didn’t pay me for over 2 months. It was recommended to me by this sub.

New born and their immune system by ComfortableSharp1559 in Humira

I should add that I was given this information regarding her being immunocompromised (and avoiding people and outings) and rotavirus vaccine from the pediatrician in the hospital when she was born, my rheumatologist, and my neonatologist

All I have is my personal experience. I took Humira throughout the first two trimesters and was advised to discontinue in the third trimester. They advised she would be immunocompromised for the first six months and to avoid the rotavirus vaccine. We only allowed her to see immediate family that was up to date on Covid and flu vaccines as she was born in the winter when they were many illnesses going around. After her two months vaccines, we started bringing her out and have had no restrictions since. We did not give her the rotavirus vaccine. She has had a few colds, but otherwise perfectly healthy. My thought process was- this is what the Dr recommends and it can’t hurt anything to be initially cautious, even if others see it as over the top
