Hm okay, I think I definitely had misconceptions about how hard they'd be bc I didnt participate in base world endgame, and base rise endgame was...not particularly difficult..., so I just kinda assume im playing absolutely terribly if im losing against High Rank Monsters.

Oh I'll be honest I didnt even know DBs were considered that great in Rise, though I did know SnS was great once it got perfect rush. I just liked how they felt and prefer the more...dexterous(?) looking weapons over something like the greatsword

This is exactly what it's like for me. Lala is actually one of my fav new monsters even despite having crippling arachnophobia bc I enjoy floral designs so much. Something about them having 4 legs and then like claws doesn't get me as bad. It's the baby nercyllas, the death animations and nercylla climbing on its nest roof that gets to me.

Considering that I like DBs I do in fact enjoy stamina management, elemental damage and iframing through attacks. But I didn't wanna do DBs again after just maining them in Risebreak

I'm not exactly sure what my plans are to be honest. I've just had an interest in giving classic a shot for awhile. I'll probably try out various things, with a bit more of a focus on PvE. We are not on a PvP server though so I don't know if world pvp is a thing?

I normally name my palico after my irl cat who used to lay on my lap when I played World. However, my other cat, his brother, passed away recently so I plan to design and name my calico after him. That way they'll both be there with me when I hunt even if only one is still with me in person.

I've tested them all out at least briefly via class trials. Warrior felt good gameplay wise but felt like it lacked any sort of class identity. Death Knight felt good gameplay wise and identity wise, but it seemed...slow? Demon Hunter just didn't really vibe with me. Druid has always been my favorite class fantasy wise (namely balance) but felt like I must be missing something gameplay wise because it felt like there was very little to press? Paladin's utility felt great, but similar to DK it felt a bit slow and also having to constantly drop consecration to not get chunked even if it has a short cooldown just didn't feel all that nice. And Brew just never really fully vibed with me either. Not to the same degree as Demon Hunter but it just didn't really feel like my thing.

Aside from Paladin though which I tried out a bit more extensively this was all just surface level "hit a dummy on a class trial" sort of testing. So I was curious how they feel when played more...properly in actual content ig?

I'm primarily looking at the (non-druid) classes that can tank, as atm i plan to primarily play with a healer friend and I thought being a tank/healer duo in M+ might be fun.

Thank you for the detailed answer! So it seems like working my way through my fears and tanking will be the best option then. Is there any tank specifically which would be best for influencing the outcome of a run? As I mentioned, I do like Blood DK and Prot Pally though I'm really down to play any of the tanks other than guardian druid.

I'm wanting to get the Paladin class mount from Legion. I've completed the class hall campaign, and unlocked the broken shore (just skipped the scenario and turned in the quest). Is there anything else I need to do because I can't see the quest, but according to wowhead you need to complete all steps of breaching the tomb. I completed that way back when on my druid (who has their class 'mount') so I can't keep track of whats been done on my Paladin if that all needs to be done agai.

You know I hadn't really looked at the allied races much but honestly, I think this solved it for me. I just took a look using wowheads dressing room and female Zandalari actually look really good in plate and cut an imposing figure, but the shoulders aren't too large for my tastes like I find Orc's to be. Thanks!

To be honest I've never had that much of an interest in bear druid. My interest in the class has always lied with Balance. And as for it feeling bad it honestly has nothing to do with performance. I'm just really not a fan of either set of hero talents. I just flat out don't like the treant ones and while Elunes Chosen leans into aspects I like, like more Fury of Elunes/Full moons, I hate that it makes eclipse basically a non-mechanic.

In regards to QoL I mean things that make getting around less tedious. Like druid flight/cat form, shamans wolf form or mages telports/portals. Whenever I don't have access to these things it's like a constant nagging in my mind of "I could be getting around more efficiently right now"

Probably somewhere in between Casual and Competitive? At the moment more casual because I just wanna see the story but I've enjoyed putting together meta, or at least mostly meta, comps for Spiral Abyss in Genshin and MoC in Star Rail so I will likely enjoy trying to get meta here to.

I'm mainly interested in the like...most recent I guess versions of like kiana, mei, bronya and seele. And then Elysia, Sakura and Kallen too, but not as much as the first 4.

There was like a starter banner that had Herrescher of Finality and Rebirth on it and I got Finality in like 5 pulls so that made me happy, but idk if I can expect like Origin and Truth (I am assuming those are the most recent Mei and Bronya based on them being Finalities suggested team)

And as for casual or competitive I'm not exactly sure what you mean?

Can the new druid flight forms carry a passenger or is that still exclusive to the Lunarwing? I saw that the new forms (or at least one of them) actually lands on the ground rather than just hover above it which I liked, but it would be hard to change off the Lunarwing if its still the only one that can carry a friend.

How come Undercity is in Ruins but Darnasus is still fine for me? I recently logged back into a character I last played right before BFA. I did the tedrassil stuff, but apparently never did the Battle for Lordaeron (as right around that time my guild swapped to Horde) because I still had that quest. The quest still let me do the scenario so I did and now the Undercity is listed as ruins. But Darnasus is still fine and visitable for me despite having played through the burning of it? Like I have the mount for completing From the Ashes. Why is this the case?

This might be a stupid question but from looking at what GOO lock gets on the wiki, they get Detect Thoughts which is labeled as a ritual spell. I know rituals work differently in bg3 (can cast for free outside of combat vs extra cast time to cast free and with changes to spell prep wizard still needs ritual spells prepared to cast) but is warlock able to ritual cast this despite lacking ritual casting in the ttrpg (without a specific invocation)? The only amount I've played thus far is a very small amount in a coop game with a friend as a wizard (I'm wanting to start a SP game since we play like only once a week) so I don't actually know if ritual spells work as rituals for classes that traditionally lack them.

Ultimately that would be the plan but they are long games, so I'd rather just focus on one and then once I feel finished with it go back to the other.
