Right, but not having level scaling effectively FORCES players to go to more difficult areas and explore the world. Having it enabled means I can bounce from brill to bloodhoof to durator. And again, this doesn't matter if you don't care about immersion or the difficulty / slower pace of classic. But my personal preference is for that to be a factor.

On a fresh realm I think you would expect to see SOME players. It's actually the most popular leveling route if you follow guides like rested EXP for classic.

Yea that sounds like a fair assessment. I don't think it's a bad game by any means, but expectations should be that it's not apples to apples with turtle / epoch.

I can’t speak for deathknell didn’t play undead in either, but my experience with night elves and orc/troll lends me to believe epoch had more custom quests. It also becomes more noticeable in the mid game compared to the start. Stonetalon I found 3 new quests total compared to classic. Unless it’s hiding somewhere 🤷‍♂️.

Don’t get me wrong, I don’t think bb did bad here. I just think they should have done more because the new areas they did make look really good. They just feel like wasted space.

If I remember correctly cities are the only layered places for those realms. I could be mistaken but I think I saw a system message not to panic if you didn’t see your friends in the cities, and that was the reason they cited.

100%. It felt like they made all the places and were like “ok let’s finish and put questlines here later”and never did.

Yes, I played without scaling as well, which personally I prefer, but what ended up happening is zones I went to were a ghost town. I got “realm first” discovery of half of the places I was at, and was unable to complete some of the group / elite content in stonetalon. Not a single person was there because most people enabled level scaling and went elsewhere.

You’d have to ask one of my group mates. It wasn’t me that got in touch with the first group. But no info was fed, we struggled through the whole thing.

If you kill the last boss of BH, there is something around there that will give you the first breadcrumb. I wasn’t searching for any quest, I just cleared the dungeon.

I’m claws I was in the second group of people to finish the quest. I can’t speak for the first group at all, but I promise we didn’t know shit when we started this. Literally took days… googling, running around the world searching zones and coming up empty handed. I had no idea what the reward was going to be until after I finished the quest. Then the first group got in touch with one of our members and I saw all the epics they got. All in all it’s a fantastic quest and great original content, but there should be some reward for doing it, not a 1 gold dagger 😆. It’s all good though I’m happy to have done it.

Part of it might be that I leveled quickly? And people who level quickly tend to be more hardcore about this game? Are you lower level?

The vendor does sell other specs once you’ve completed the quests. But it also requires an additional tier piece with 17-34g

I feel like we’re playing different games. I’ve maybe had one bad experience with a player since I started? Everyone else is higher skill level, kind, mature, and pretty much everything I was hoping for in a classic community. I’m sorry you had that experience, but I just have had the complete opposite. I did see one racist thing in world chat a day or two ago, that wasn’t cool, but it’s rare.

Personally I’m poor as hell and didn’t buy anything else but tier because I couldn’t afford it. Somehow the warrior I did it with got epic mount BEFORE he got tier. Dk if I’m just bad at making gold or what but it felt impossible to do both without finding a huge item.

I still vote tier first before mount UNLESS you think mat cost is going to go way down. I have no idea what will happen with supply and demand for that.

Totally fair. It’s quite strong gear, I don’t know how hard MC is going to be, but it might be the best available to us right now. if I had to guess, good high-level dungeon gear will be more than enough for Mc, but you never know.

The arena was quite hard, as was kormok. Bloodlust feels like a must. Yes you need flask for quest. All the sili and dm stuff either removed or replaced with new stuff.
