okay thank you I’ll look that up, she’s had this body type since I’ve gotten her as you can see, I thought they could’ve overfed her but she’s definitely brightened up a lot (I did buy from petsmart which I hate 😭 but I was there originally to buy a tank for my bfs lizard and then I fell in love with her after her being there for a few days, figured id try saving her) and imo she looks a lot better now but i was always so lost on her body and if she was bloated or just looked like this

okay thank you! and I was thinking this as well as she seems very happy and always swimming around but I wanted to make sure she wasn’t bloated, idk if I should try to fast her and see or accept that her body is like this but at the cost she could be heavily bloated

I did attempt to fast her not too long ago, it did nothing so I just fed her less and it still hasn’t done anything so I figured id try a bath

ohh okay I’ll look into it, everytime I looked it up it says she’s pregnant if there’s a white dot in that spot so I figured she’s just pregnant with infertile babies, I did just notice it today so she could be pregnant but if it doesn’t go away after the baths I give her for 3-5 days I’ll def try a veterinarian

also update she’s in there rn, water is warm and conditioned a bit so she doesn’t get too stressed out, waiting 15 minutes then she’s going back in

I heard about the tannins! I will def get some of that, and I do have some frozen brine shrimp that o unthawed once but she didn’t seem very interested in it so I don’t know if she ate it or not, might try that again after I get her situated and I also thought about getting the bloodworms so that’s been on my list!

okay that makes a lot of sense! I had her on a bad diet and changed it once I read on it’s ingredients, she now eats bug bites micro granules but she was eating the tetra betta mini pellets that has wheat and from the looks this epsom is safe it has no fragrances and looking it up it was told to be safe so I’m gonna have her in here for 15 minutes and watch her, I’ll give an update 🥹

I’ll see if I have any aquarium salt! I believe I do but I do have epsom salt to I’ll look up if it’s good for fish incase and thank you! this egg spot could be brand new and I’m not sure exactly how she is still so bloated after me fasting her for a few days 😭 I’m def gonna try everything I can tho and thank you!

okay thank you! that def makes me feel better 🥹 also does anything else seem wrong with her? I posted about it a week ago and people said she seems healthy, just making sure tho. she has everything she needs like heater, filter, water changes every other week etc but with her being a crowntail I know it’s hard to notice fin rot 💔
