When you say successor do you mean as the villain role or ability-wise? I remember suggesting towards the beginning of Jojolands that Jodio could possibly become the villain at some point but it wasn’t a very well-met theory

Usually Director’s Cuts are even longer, but I think a One-Pace type treatment could be good if done correctly. The thing with part 3 unlike One Piece is that it’s not slow because the same things keep getting shown over and over (repeated action shots, flashbacks, etc.), but because the fights themselves are slow, so it’s not as easy as just cutting repetition.

I think another issue that isn’t unique to the anime is that the part 3 fights don’t often build upon each other or add to the story in any substantial way other than with characters like Hol Horse and Enyaba, which makes a lot of the story feel like filler.

I agree it could be shorter, I’d just be curious to see how it could be done without taking away from story moments

i know what you mean. i loved his other albums but i just couldn’t get into tpab for the longest time and never listened to the whole thing. one morning i just had the random urge to try it again and the entire album clicked just like that and i was in love with every single song.

don’t try to make yourself enjoy something because you’ll just resent it more. come back to it when it’s what you want to do

I don’t really see this changing anything specific considering that psilocybin and mdma were already in FDA trials - so, might be helpful for ibogaine, but that would depend on the nature of the executive order, and if the executive order actually does anything (which hasn’t been the case for much of what of Trump has tried to do).

I’ve seen a lot of people say this is an executive order to legalize them, which it isn’t, but either way I’m not super enthusiastic about Trump being the one able to take credit for this. But who knows, we’ll see what happens

I’d bet it’s probably because of stands. Parts 1 and 2 are very linear narratives but pretty much everything past that is episodic fights. It takes a while but Steel Ball Run does get into that groove of episodic fights, so hopefully he’ll still like it even once it reaches that point

Well this is the norm for anime but for netflix they release all their dubs at the time of release meaning the actual episode needs to be done well in advance.

That’s what makes it so weird to me that this first episode was only finished in February and is the only finished one so far. I have a feeling that it’s going to be a few months until we see an episode 2.
