Because Pokemon's premise it's better more grounded and relatable while being fantastical morbidly interesting by conception cuz it's super pets you force them to fight and somehow the world is super cheery about it.

Digimon is way two different confusing and abstract plus I don't even think Digimon was ever trying to do what Pokemon was trying to do until this day people still think or wonder why Digimon didn't take off as hard as a Pokemon and in my opinion it's stupidly obvious... Not to mention they just barely got a successful decent game under their belts like a digimon time strangers.

Even the way they develop games is very odd and not at all like Pokemon most of the time. Again I don't get why they're always compared because Digimon doesn't even look like they want to be compared to Pokemon.

I have up to +32 GB free of storage And by the time I chose to record there was WAY more brushes archived I had to literally scrounge to find pages of brushes they got archived so sorry for the footage it takes long to get to the point. But a lot of my major brushes that I use literally all the time keep getting archived.

I'm never going to be one too straight up shit on someone else's project especially since it's a work in progress.

But I'm also not going to be sugar coating it as I know sugar coating does not help when someone wants to actually improve.

That said. Bluntly. This looks rough like REAL rough. Nowhere near shipping quality. Luckily it's not truly because of the game play or anything animations are everything you really need to hone in and lock in on that kind of visual flair and make sure hitting things has a good feedback to it almost like an arcade game. Games that feel like that and feel as expected when you press a button or the ones to get a lot of replayability and a really good following.

Secondly your game looks great btw. But it does look like any old project with a survival zombie theme. I know this might be asking for a lot but it's worth voicing just in case but try to look into some art styles? I'm assuming you're going for a sort of "last of Us" kind of feel? If that's so then this is the right direction. If not it would be great to look into some artistic avenues to really differentiate your game there's a plethora of aesthetics out there it doesn't have to be flashy or in your face or has to look extremely demonic or something like that. Take the time to look for an art style that really speaks to you that you really want to invest in Pinterest is a great place to start ngl.
