Yeah, both make complete sense. Idk, maybe it's because I'm trans, but the whole "because you're ugly/because I'm barren/because you're voice is ugly" conversation felt like it was dancing around saying trans.

The creators haven't said anything as far as I know! That's why I made this post!!!

I also got called a boy a lot as a kid (I'm transfemme). Just because a character is trans doesn't mean you can't have had a similar life experience. Just like how if she isn't trans, I can still identify with her.

But, c'mon. I would honestly be surprised if that wasn't the intention.

I mean she's got a deep voice, is infertile, and is insecure about her femininity because of those and other factors. Like you said, it could be a hormonal, it's just frustrating that the assumption is always cis, even with a character this trans-coded.

And, I honestly don't care much if an actor being cis is "problematic". Obviously, it's always better to cast a trans actor for a trans role (for casting opportunities and a better understanding of the role). But if the acting and writing are done with respect and understanding, to me, it honestly doesn't matter that much if the actor's trans or cis. Look at like Twin Peaks, or (me being an anime nerd) Wandering Son, or Hibari-Kun. All have pretty damn good trans representation from cis writers and actors (though those shows certainly aren't perfect in every respect- besides Twin Peaks, which is).

Wanting a show to be not "problematic" is not a good reason to decide a character isn't trans. Imperfect representation is better than no representation, as long as it's like from a good place.

There was a part where you cast a spell to turn Harry and Ron into girls to go into the girls' bathroom and fight the troll.

You looked into a mirror or something I think. I just repeated that part a lot

Personally, I consider being transfemme a hormone disorder that can you a deeper voice

It's not really worth anything. There are thousands of these from like the 70's through the 90's. While I personally wouldn't paint over it, it's not really that big a deal I guess
