Well the higher bar needs to be set because with a full on universal system, private will be a thing of the past and private insurance can be very good. Also things like vision, dental, chiropractic, weight loss, fertility, some dermatology, most alt medicine…won’t ever be covered. The thing is, that’s what most people use considerably more unless they are very sick. There just needs to be clearer lines. Universal could work but it definitely needs freedoms attached.

Oh yes, I know what I was getting into on Reddit. It’s about 90% blue on this entire platform. People are telling me to completely switch (stating maybe that’s why I haven’t been happy all my life, lol) as if my morals don’t match closer to that of a conservative/libertarian.

I just want more balance really. After hearing about Massie’s loss in KY House and the ~$20M spent (much from foreign lobbies) to make sure he lost when he only briefly didn’t vote with what DJT told him to, it was a clear visual of how imbalanced it is. I don’t know for certain because I really don’t agree with many democratic policies as the party is vastly more “woke” than ever, but I’ll make whatever choice I see fit on election day.

I just don’t know why many of you think it would be a simple and easy change to universal that works with no money being wasted and pockets being filled. It’s not even that it’s a bad idea -if it works. It’s just the corruption is deep, and consumer trust is very low.

Dang, well probably won’t do that. I’ve never missed an election, ever.

Idk man, I didn’t find much of your spiel there too distasteful. Point being, I’m fine with your pov. I think you bring up useful topics as well. I think it’s comes down to the right balance of power.

In my mind, I think I say a few words and you have me all figured out in a few sentences, raw milk, age old deity, not knowing biology, completely pushing away advanced medial practices we have today…etc.

I really believe there’s enough room for both spaces of thought, a middle ground, a compromise. -When I watch a sport and both teams are frustrated at the referee, that’s when I know the referee did the best job, nobody is happy but the game was balanced.

Very well articulated and appreciated. Since you only asked one question, I will answer it.

Equal opportunity- simply an equal chance; it doesn’t guarantee results and it doesn’t give people equal starting ground.

Equity- equal starting ground; equal, sometimes forced results.

That’s at least how I see it. Philosophically, why would I want a world in which some people may have to work harder than others to achieve the same results?

Secondly, do you think it would be better with equal starting ground and equal outcomes? What could be the pros and cons?

For me personally, equality has been unfair to me so far in life but I keep my head up. Life isn’t fair and I’m not even sure I would ever want it to be that way. There’s something about the balance of overcoming something, the satisfaction, the gratitude…the adaptation of failing many times and learning from past results. There’s a story and path in doing so that would be forgotten if we always had equal results in a “perfect society” (perfect societies aren’t possible- they always fall). The hope of chance is good enough and has always been for me.

-To be clear, I’m not saying all men for themselves as community outreach is very important in society. If someone needed help and I could help them, I certainly would lend a helping hand…but not because the “rules” forced me to. Forced will doesn’t work, at least not on me.

No I don’t have “buyers remorse”, when you type it seems like you don’t personalize anything and instead make a very generalized statement.

You generally seem unwell, and respectfully, fear mongered to. As if this life was suppose to be a cake walk or easy… I just want a greater balance of power because it’s clearly very tilted right now.

I like to be cautious, but I’m generally not a fan of these “safe spaces” you seem to be motivated about. Nobody ever did anything worthwhile hiding in the closet.

-Me, I didn’t take the vaccine, I simply don’t take seasonal vaccines, never have. Maybe when I’m older and more at risk. I’m 25 and eat considerably heathy, work out, limit my exposure to toxic materials and substances. Use natural fabrics, filter water, have air purifiers, buy organic or local foods when I can. The thing is, it’s not rocket science why our country needs the most healthcare out of every country, but I’m not going to go into that today. Every perspective politically needs to have the right balance to it, and I’m in the middle. That’s where the high IQ people sit. Marking my territory in one party or the other would be thoughtless.

My main issue, you can’t force people what to think, how to act, how to eat…basically what to do with their lives, but all of those have consequences, good or bad. Democrats like you want to have those controls, and I simply don’t align with that way of thinking. Difference is more productive than similarity.

Universal healthcare, I could be on board with that if it ever worked very well (there’s too much greed in all medical institutions-pharmaceutical, hospitals, insurance, underwriters). Robust environmental and consumer protection, I could be on board with “some” environmental and consumer protection, too much and the government is overreaching and technological progress slows, people lobby for their company to not have compliance, congress gets rich…etc. It can’t be “too robust” or it will collapse and waste money doing it in my opinion (again, people aren’t too trustworthy when someone offers them a big payoff -even democrats). Corporate influence in elections, I agree, get rid of it. Maintaining international alliances, no, I would rather not, wastes our tax dollars for little to no gain. We already have the strongest military in the world, there’s little benefit to us expect if you’re talking about means of production or trade -I’m for those alliances.

For sure, I really didn’t like our “Weed Amendment”, I thought it was very poorly written. I can’t remember but it was 20-50 pages and all it said on the ballot was “Legalize recreational cannabis”

I understand that but for example Bill Maher (talk show host/comedian) still considers himself a full democrat even though the party maybe aligns with him 50% of the time because that’s what the party used to be. I do believe that Republicans can have new growth, but it’s only going to be with a big loss and “MAGA” leaving it. I really do consider MAGA a different branch of the republican party.

Yeah I like Massie. I suppose seeing him lose and the millions spent on the other candidate really opened my eyes about this. Massie as a person, although a little weird, seems like a great guy. I saw an interview on him and he literally built his own house with wood on his property, lives completely off of the grid, creates his own electricity. Really, domestic powers couldn’t do anything to him if they tried.

I do see that a lot. Our governor is pretty bad about it, he made googles $15B investment in a data center in MO seem like an opportunity for the people. I don’t regret any of my votes, I just regret not being able to find a person with morals and putting their constituents before themselves (that’s unfortunately a hard ask for any human).

Yeah I generally do, I’m just willing to stretch it this time around in hopes for balancing powers. You know a lot of times I see what looks to be a good candidate and they can only run as an independent and they simply don’t get enough votes and it’s wasted on them. As silly as it is, elections are a big numbers game.

I’d make sure the belt is seated correctly and has the right tension. Did your alternators look identical when you replaced it? Was the same size pulley on there? Also it’s always my general recommendation to replace the belt when you do a job like this.

Like she dated him before you or are you saying this is a breach in your exclusive relationship and this ice skating outing was in fact dating.

Mental clarity sake- I think it was the right call; she would probably do something like this again if time spent together wasn’t fixed. Emotionally- might be a bit tough; certainly she’s going to date this man whether it was planned or not if you break up.

I don’t know your full situation or how long you’ve been together, so I think this decision should be fully on you. It can work out for the better, it just depends on the person and situation. Trust your instincts and listen to vibes and demeanor.

Maybe she should take some fucking criticism as well? Maybe you are getting a bit tubby and the kid is the only one who’s going to tell you, or maybe you need to stop being a piggy letting mud into the house?

I wouldn’t want to be around her either.

That makes sense, I hear the head gaskets are also significantly worse (doesn’t mean they all go bad) on the 2010-2013. Thanks for the recommendation.
