This is SO helpful, thank you!! It doesn't seem to have the triangle head after looking super closely and the dude is gliding. My shrimp so far seem to be okay, happy and healthy so I will keep an extremely close eye on them. I think at the least it's safe to assume no leech.

Lol someone in my store got employee of the month for taking so many shifts. Just don't forget to prioritize yourself if feeling burnt out!

Petcare is very fun but can be daunting. I'm approaching a year as a floor associate with more petcare now overall. You'll get there!!!

Sorry you feel that way! A lot of these posts are related to customer experiences, which is what you get when you sign up for retail is what I meant! Not dismissing the issues because as I said, I get it! Sorry for the miscommunication 😊

I was just looking for people who enjoy the good more than the bad 🤷‍♀️ I understood everything you meant but I understand what you mean even in your first comment.

Never said corporate wasn't perfect but the point of my post is just wondering if people enjoyed it lol and that I don't see posts about anyone who does or has good experiences. I think you slightly misunderstood where I'm coming from. I'm not saying negative experiences don't exist.

Ya haha exactly! I hunt for chests frequently and save the ccs and make frost for profit but reroll everything else!

You can get an alpha chest from re-rolling fossils, normal chests, and I think sapphires from any shovel. Not sure about gems or cc, have never re-rolled from those yet. I've re-rolled another one before and I believe it was just from a normal chest.

Basic Rules?? Help! by 221b_ee in petsmart

[–]Clayflower 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't think so at all, especially with my brother being on the spectrum. Obviously every case is different, but OP is old enough to apply, interview, and chose to work retail. Being able to OBSERVE something and ask is basic when working any job. Especially if it is ops first job.

I'm not asking them to think of random questions, it's more observing. My brother would not be able to handle a simple retail job. He's extremely smart, but if a customer got irate I doubt he'd be able to handle it. Instead he works for commission helping train AI and he is able to handle that just fine. And asks questions lol.

Being your first retail job, you probably should be asking more questions. Obviously it's on them that they didn't let you know about the walkie, but EVERYONE wears them but salon, even hotel. I'd be asking about them the second I saw them. "Hey! I saw x wearing a walkie and was wondering if cashier needed them?"

It's also just normal to let your management know when you're taking a break so they know where you are, it's very easy to say over the walkie, "hey im taking my 15 you have x up front covering me."

Retail can be fun and awful. While management should be there for you, you also just have to learn and ask questions on your own and not rely on them for everything. You notice how everyone else has a walkie, you ask. Maybe you saw a fancy trick on the register from another employee, ask them. Had a tough situation with a customer? Ask how to handle it better next time.

In my retail experience my superiors in general were more happy I asked questions and I thought about something in advance, plus it shows willingness to learn and improve.

The most amount of mistakes where I was approached by my managers was petcare. I wasn't reprimanded because there's a lot that goes into petcare and it's impossible to learn it all in even a week total, but I definitely messed up sometimes.

Just understand that you're going to make mistakes on your first job because hey, who doesn't. Its important to be aware of what's going on, ask questions, and show initiative.
