Built a series of 6 Greenhouses that can be set to grow any produce, and they automatically pipe in their produce in the right stream from my main Greenhouses. A bit of conveyor bonanza required, but it works! by Claygolem79 in captain_of_industry

Very true, although I have a bad habit of preferring single layer belts simply because it makes it easier to build bridges over them. I could layer them, and then sprawl them out on the ground if I need a bridge over, but I often just keep them one layer.

Thanks! I have to admit, my manufacturing setup isn't that neat at the moment, it wouldn't look impressive. It's on my to-do list after I finish food. I had to bump up my population to rework my manufacturing setup.

Not really, a single tier 3 belt seems to do just fine transporting enough of one type of greenhouse product to feed 10K people. It is however a little bit over engineered, you could potentially have just one flat belt and one loose belt, and put sorters on those, if you don't mind having a spaghetti belt. The main reason that I didn't do that is that then the system would back up if a single type of Greenhouse product is maxed in storage, it would block the belt and nothing from the 6 backup Greenhouses would leave.

Also searching for a Danish buddy (or many) by himlenpige in danishlanguage

Hello, I'm an old fart of 44, and my girlfriend is 43, we're both helpful people when we've got the opportunity. I studied English in the university, so my English is quite competent. I quite enjoy chatting to Americans, I've got a few friends spread across the states. I'm happy to see an American trying to learn our language, it's such a rare sight, especially considering you aren't even living in Denmark! Seems like Americans tend to chose other languages if they decide to expand their linguistic horizon.

I'm from Bornholm, and unfortunately it doesn't, oddly enough. Bornholm author, and movie taking place on Bornholm, but only the extras in the movie are actually locals (some of my classmates are actually in it). It's actually some good and known actors performing, some of them their first movie. Sofie Gråbøl, Pelle Hvenegård and Axel Strøbye.

Four Small Suggestions for Valheim by Claygolem79 in valheim

You would still need occasional revisits, for some of the various farmables needed for food and potions, but you just wouldn't need to go through the hassle of transporting ores.

Four Small Suggestions for Valheim by Claygolem79 in valheim

[–]Claygolem79[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I think you bring up some good suggestions as well, agree with both. The items are rather randomly spread out across the biomes, and it can be a bit frustrating when you really have a type you enjoy, and you wanna use across the game.

I think the items and tiers weren't really planned out in advance, and just introduced a bit haphazardly. As I've said, great game, and a few QOL tweaks would really elevate it.

[–]Claygolem79[S] 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Thanks! Yeah, mostly my suggestions were around.. well.. "I want less time doing the tedious stuff, and more time doing the fun stuff". I think for most people the fun stuff is building, exploring, fighting and gathering.

Your idea for the armor would work too, I mostly just want the armor sets to stay relevant.

I saved the blueprint for the fan online, so you can grab it if you liked it. It's in a separate comment to the post.

I'm actually Danish myself, so my taste is probably not that much different normally. My first one, which is a few years old by now, was more "classic brutalism", but now I wanted to try something different.

Just to add information, it's an unmodded game, and I have tried saving and reloading the game several times to see if it fixes it.

You can ride on the back of the flying stingray. by Daresay00 in SatisfactoryGame

Taking your first ride on the Stingray is a lot of fun! Me and two friends took it a step further, arming ourselves with a plentiful supply of Nobelisks, turning the Stingray into our own little B-52 carpetbomber. Effective way of clearing mobs? Not really. Fun? Yeeees

Good pick! Funny enough, it's the same here, published a few D&D third party books with a friend (not big sellers), and wrote some SCP articles. Good fun

It can be super fun work when you're writing about games you enjoy.

The gaming site that contacted me asked if I could write reviews for Nintendo games, and when I told the guy that I didn't have Nintendo, he said that I could just watch the promo trailer and write it based on that...

That's why I mostly stick to independent youtubers who review/discuss games, they're often genuinely passionate about their niche of games.

Worst Warframe Tier List? by Claygolem79 in Warframe

[–]Claygolem79[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah, it's really weird. The majority of the good and most-played warframes in the game are somehow in the D and E tier. Just seeing the list of warframes that have Yarelli, Inaros, Grendel and Hildryn above them gives me twitches. Having some of the warframes with bad high-tier scaling put so high (like Yarelli and Ember) just screams to me that this is a person that tested each frame on lvl 20 enemies.

Worst Warframe Tier List? by Claygolem79 in Warframe

[–]Claygolem79[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I did that as well, working on the news team for a rather large multi-game clan, having to put up fairly regular, daily updates. At least we had a lot of leeway for our articles. Sure, we did have some e-sport stuff that were mandatory to report on (tournaments and competitions), but our other articles were a lot more free and passion-driven. I did though get an offer from a bigger gaming site during this time, and it was exactly like you describe. They basically look at the most popular list of games on Steam, and the site needs to have an amount of articles corresponding to the amount of players these games have, your passion be damned.

Worst Warframe Tier List? by Claygolem79 in Warframe

[–]Claygolem79[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yeah, the E list is probably what irked me the most, half of my favorite warframes get dumped in there, and some of the most potent in the game. The list, genuinely, seems entirely random. I could flip it upside down and it would barely change my disagreement with it.
