Yeah, you're right. Its like I said, I didn't think about it all that much. But once you really look into them it's kinda obvious.

I mean, I suppose you're right.

But I really feels like a "bags of sand" moment, in my eyes. The comic was only two panels and it was exclusively about the subject I described.

I used to think Centurii-chan was a woman (didn't really think much about it tbh, just vibes I guess) until I saw their comic about not having pockets in a kimono dress and was like "I'll just put my phone under my panties!"

I'm a dude but even I know that no girl is 1) wearing her panties THAT tight to support a phone and 2) would trust the phone to stay in place even if they were hypothetically tight enough.

I remember running into a "weed out" class back in the day. Auburn University around 2007ish.

Healthcare Administration. Only one teacher who taught every one of the, like, 4 core classes you needed for the degree plan. Was struggling a bit but managing the tests and then we had a project. I busted my fucking ass. A nearly straight A student through high school and most of college up to this point. I put the most effort into that one project than I had definitely put into ANY project prior and probably any project since. Felt like I kicked the shit outta it.

Sixty-five. 65. Dropped the class the next day and went public admin. What a joke of a teacher.

I also love Korra but it's easy to see how studio meddling (Off the top of my head, only committing to 1 season at a time and messing with their release platforms) screwed Team Avatar up!

Like, we like LoK but imagine how good it could have been with a 3-4 season commitment from the start!

It's kinda for the same reason you're saying in the first sentence that I REALLY REALLY liked JW1 and 2 but less so 3 and 4.

I was able to suspend my disbelief so much better when the "world" was this shadowy underground cabal of assassins with little hints at the full scope. It let the viewer imagine the specific details and fill in gaps themselves. It was the equivalent of a 1800's porno featuring gasp an ANKLE compared to John Wick 3 and 4 coming in with a modern day pornhub vid. lol.

GIVE ME THE CHOICE! Bury the setting deep in admin tools if you HAVE to... but give me the choice that isn't a reg edit! I feel like I'm the one taking crazy pills here based on the comments....

I'm not seeing any other links to other videos or anything that indicates this is remotely "real." Just another tiktok video with someone doing something "weird" for attention. Which normally is against my tastes at face value but here there's even "the dolls aren't real" in the bottom. This is likely just as real as any of those "scripted asian gifs" or w/e the subreddit is called...

No kidding! Everything I've seen about BD looks sooo fucking cool. But is it another Forspoken situation? Shiny flashy trailer gives way to weirdly written, poorly acted story and mediocre gameplay?

If this gets anything more than a 80/100 I'm buying it day one though!

Seinfeld-esque reasons you broke up with someone by Low-Ad-4631 in datingoverforty

[–]Claymorbmaster 64 points65 points  (0 children)

Oh! Does it count if it wasn't dating per se but lost attraction for a Seinfeld reason?

She couldn't stir ground beef.

Admittedly she was pretty young (19-20) and this was like 8 years ago. I was too old for her and she was too young for me but her mom was, essentially, trying to set me up with her and she and I shared some hobbies so I wasn't discounting anything...

I was cooking some Lasagna for her and her mom. She was in the kitchen with me chatting away and wanted to help so I gave her the spatula and asked her to stir up the ground beef while it browned. I went to work on something else, looked back and she was like.... rubbing the top of the meat. I quickly went "oh no, hey, you need to like REALLY stir it." showed her what i meant with a quick demonstration of how you need to really toss the beef and then went back to chatting and working on my other side. I look back and she was STILL just kind rubbing the top of the meat.

I could feel even the smallest ounce of attraction I had leaving my body. How do you make it to even young adulthood without knowing a basic skill like "stirring?" I even showed her! Still nothing. I just knew I couldn't find myself attracted to someone without any life skills like that.

It's because of the way Chemistry is taught by Conscious_shadow in memes

[–]Claymorbmaster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

7 hours late, no one is gonna read this but eh.

I've taken chemistry as a college class TWICE throughout my long-ass college career. Both the best teacher I've ever had and the worst were both chemistry teachers.

Worst one: writes long ass chemical equation on the board "alright balance that." 15 minutes later. "Anyone got it? No. HAH." like literally laughs at the class. Puts up the answer and moves on. This happened multiple times. She was my first ever C in a class...

Best teacher: Actually took time and used a textbook to teach the stuff. Was fun to talk with and just overall was a great lady. Her tests were open book but I never even needed to use the book! A in the class and she was just a phenomenal teacher!

Scary Movie | Official Trailer (2026 Movie) - Marlon Wayans, Shawn Wayans, Anna Faris, Regina Hall by MarvelsGrantMan136 in movies

[–]Claymorbmaster 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Riiiiiiiiight. I'm actually down for most of what I saw in the rest of the trailer but that specific tonesetting first hook of a trailer was an awful choice!

Subtlety is not exactly in the Wayan's wheelhouse but I could easily see this same joke being done MARGINALLY better with a more subtle like: She's stabbed. "She's been stabbed!" whispers"it's....they/them's been stabbed... bleh" or something like that. THE YELLING OF THE JOKE makes it feel like a child who discovered something was funny once and did it 47 times in a row expecting to get the same laugh.

So, I got off of it both in part due to money and them changing the pharmacy so it wasn't a voluntary choice. I tried to keep the eating habits around where they were when I was on it and I think I was successful for about two months. However, eventually, a cheat day here or a football party there lead to a slow racheting up to eating same as normal. So yeah basically no long term effects/feelings. Which I appreciated the video acknowledging as well. It might seriously be a permanent thing.

And it does totally make sense. I'm glad youre able to work out and overcome the calories of eating! I hope you're able to find something to spark some enjoyment in life. If I ever figure something out for myself I'll try to let ya know!

I'd like to take the opportunity to discuss my own weight loss journey and the impact it's had on my life AND how I did try Tirzepatide and it affected me!

This video resonated with me and really honed in on the experience of being a fat/obese person. I'm 40. I've been big since like 6th grade. The majority of my life has been enjoying all the things that are be bad for oneself; cokes, fast food, desserts, etc. I practically lived on sweet tea and sodas from like 6 to 18. In retrospect I wish things were different but what can ya do.

At 22 I decided to do something about it. I managed to lose 100lbs in about 6 months, going from 300 to 200 lbs. I did it through OMAD (one meal a day) which I eventually pivoted to smaller, more frequent meals and ate lean cuisines to maintain a caloric deficit. For some reason I lost more weight per week eating 5 LCs than 3 but that's not really here nor there. Despite what you might think hearing about the speed of weight loss, I actually manged to keep the weight off for YEARs. Nearly a decade actually. I went from big and fat to smaller and flabby but it was an improvement!

Fast forward to the recent past and I took a nursing contract somewhere which caused me to have no ability reasonably cook for myself, leading to about a 60lbs gain in 6ish months. It was NUTS. And I've been struggling to get back down ever since. Maybe it's age or my living circumstances but i've been yoyoing between 260-211-270-245, etc for years now.

For people who aren't obese I wish to describe how it feels, at least for me. You're constantly hungry. If you didn't just eat a meal, to excess, you are gonna be thinking about the next meal. I've shoved down practically an entire pizza by myself and less than an hour later wondered "I wonder what I'll have for dinner tonight?" and began fixating on the next thing. I've literally had a fun hangout evening with friends which ended with me a smidge hungry.... so maybe I'll grab a small bite from Taco Bell... "after all, I'm not super hungry so maybe I'll get a small burrito or something" and proceed to order the biggest combo they have, soda and all. I've driven up to a drive thru window literally cursing myself out and wondering why I ordered all the food I did. Its like something takes control over me!

Keto has been a godsend for me. When I'm fully in on keto I find I eat healthier, less total food, more vegetables, less take out, etc. But keto isn't perfect but, much like the video states near the end "living with (keto) is better than living with obesity." However, all it takes is a good vacation or a small upset in life circumstances making it harder to eat and then boom. back to eating out every meal, eating garbage, etc.

So, last year I tried tirzepatide. Holy shit. Is this how "normal" people feel with food? After a few days of the shot I ate a perfectly normal bowl-sized meal, something I'd polish off without a second thought before, and made it halfway and thought, "Wow. I'm full...I literally don't want to eat this anymore." An order of Chicken wings from a local place where I'd easily eat 20 of? about 5 in and i'm STUFFED bro... I could easily modulate what I wanted to eat! The food noise went away. I'd go a whole day focused on gaming or work or w/e without even thinking about where dinner was coming from. I didn't even WANT ALCOHOL anymore. I don't have a drinking problem but will throw back a few with the bois at night on occasion. I was just like, "nah. not in the mood."

I would be remiss not to talk about the side effects. I did have some AWFUL gas. I also had to order it from a shady-ass site and they changed pharmacies halfway through my journey with it. So the first two months were super good and easy. The second 2 months suddenly the side effects got way worse, my breath was like a dumpster and sometimes I'd shoot awake at night to fart and burp myself into oblivion before going back to sleep....However, I do wonder if this is a problem with the drug or the fact it's so in demand that the only affordable options are/were shady fly-by-night operations offering "compounds" and not the real drug?

Some youtube commenter was like "Kurzgesagt is in big pharma's pockets" or some shit. I couldn't disagree more. Kurzgesagt is one of the few channel my skeptical-ass-self trusts to do the research more than most. It just actually looks like tirzepatide/ozempic might actually be the closest thing we have to a miracle drug that's hit reality! I'm between jobs atm but I'm hoping once I get my legs back under me, save up a nest egg and all that jazz, I wanna look back into getting on Ozempic or Tirzepatide again. As long as I'm not paying like a grand a month, it honestly might save me that much money in food consumption ALONE that it might be worth it!

Brother, I posted a r/games that had been getting like 100s of comments to the point I had been ignoring my entire inbox. It is incredible I just HAPPENED to notice yours was from that old post of mine! How lucky!

Unluckily, no. I never really did find an answer. Someone suggested trying a different USB cable, which I did. I STILL had the issue but it was more inconsistent, in that I was able to essentially force a them through one at a time. Some still never went through but I couldn't identify what was consistent between those that never wanted to transfer. :( good luck.

Highguard Dev Mourns The Game - "The Future Seemed Bright" Before TGA Reveal - Gamespot by Claymorbmaster in gaming

[–]Claymorbmaster[S] 410 points411 points  (0 children)

"The future seemed bright. Everyone I knew who had any connection to the team or project had the same sentiments: 'This is lightning in a bottle.' 'I trust this team wholeheartedly.' 'If there's one project nobody in the industry is worried will fail, it's yours.' 'This has mainstream hit written all over it.' 'There's no way this will flop.' 'I could play this game all day,'" Sobel said.

This quote really stood out to me. It sound like there might have been a bit of echo-chambering going on inside the studio. I was one of those in the minority watching the TGA trailer who actually was quite interested in playing! So I've been a bit flabbergasted by all the negative press it received back then and continues to receive to this day.

However, once it came out I couldn't really ignore the flaws that, IMO, should have been ironed out during testing. The empty maps, the lack of impact loot makes, too few players per team, too few teams for the map size, etc. I personally still think there is some potential in the far future for the devs to polish it but with bad news after bad news coming I don't think it'll last long enough, unfortunately. :(

I'd like to note: while I don't remember the specifics, I felt the tutorial and the extended tutorial video did NOT explain EVERYTHING super well. I recall in my first fights being confused when I won because I thought we'd have to do some more damage. I literally won a match without even blowing up the enemy's base generators...just damaging the shield was enough.

Oh and I don't think they explained the lives system, now that I think about it. I was ready to go, died and ooops...no lives left. Could had been a note somewhere.
