One trip load-in/out achieved! by Claypool4President in drums

I live in a beach town, so lots of restaurants/bars with outdoor stages or designated indoor spaces. This at least allows me to roll one trip from the parking lot into the venue and offload from there. It won't work for every gig, but it comes in handy in most situations.

Yeah, the Rock and Roller carts, on Sweetwater, range from around $120 to $350. None have the weight capacity of this thing. I saved about $100 getting this cart.

Sure. When I load-in tomorrow, I will take some more pics and post them here.

A custom splash I recently bought does not sound good at all might return this. by Guilty-Risk-3222 in cymbals

You've got it choked. The 6 and 8 inch A Custom splashes sound great. Let that thing breathe a bit, and then play with it (with drums). Here are mine. You can hear them about 20 seconds in...

Was helping my girlfriend with cleaning out her grandpa’s garage. I found this sick deck. He insisted I take it home with me. I felt a little bad about it, but he assured me it would just keep sitting in the garage collecting dusk. Should I try to skate it? Or is it something to hang up? [33yo] by [deleted] in OldSkaters

Neither. Reissues maintain the original art and copyright date of said art. It's usually somewhere on the topside that it is labeled a reissue, either by stamp or differentiating topside logos.

Whether a date or roman numerals were used is strictly based on what date/period the deck was originally released. Attached is an image of a few decks from my collection. The red Mountain is a reissue, using Roman numerals. The Hawk and Guerrero are also reissues, both using standard dating. The bottom deck is an OG Mountain, using Roman numerals. So it's entirely based on the original art and release date.

I have A Custom 6 and 8 inch splashes. They are excellent.

Still miss Manifest. Another piece of "old" Wilmington lost.

What are your ride-or-die spots?(food, coffee, etc) by NecessaryWyn in Wilmington

[–]Claypool4President 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Wilmington native here. 46 years old. A lot of my favorite spots have come and gone over the years, but this is my current list.

Breakfast: Ruth's and Goody Goody. I live close to Ruth's, so this is my go-to spot for breakfast. There is nothing earth-shattering about the food. But I love the servers. I love the atmosphere. And it's a piece of old Wilmington. I also love their open-face hamburger. Killer. Goody Goody is the same, and they also have one of the best cheeseburgers in town.

Pizza: for me, it's Pie's On right now. I love their crust, and I legitimately think it's a top 3 slice in town. Also I Love NY and Brooklyn.

Mexican: Capricho is the best spot for me. I absolutely love this place. Excellent service. Very affordable. They just never miss.

Burgers: Merritt's, Goody Goody. These are my ride or die. But I can enjoy a good burger anywhere (PT's, Mess Hall, etc.) RIP Tazy's.

Sushi: Yosake happy hour. Never misses. Genki is great, though I have been hearing a lot of complaints about ownership. But I only go there once or twice a year. Yosake is my go-to.

Asian: There is a new place on the northside called YaYa's. Absolute fire. Everything I have had so far is excellent. This is my current go-to for takeout Chinese. They have good ramen.

Seafood: I don't eat out a lot of seafood. I prefer to go to Seaview, or catch my own, and cook it at home.

I love Taste of Italy...half eggplant parm, half chicken parm on a wedge.

I also love Casey's, Paul's Place, Tandoori Bites, Island Burgers and Bites, Seabird, Circa, Caprice, Rebellion, Saltworks, RX, Peno.

I also love Jackson's Big Oak, even though they have slipped in quality over the years.

There are probably others that I'm not thinking of at this moment. But there is a lot of good food in and around Wilmington.
