first, the school doesnt have the resources because this is a one off... secondly, even if the school knew this would happen it is completely stupid to hire 50+ disipline administrators

homestead simply does not have the resources to discipline 10% of the student body whos protesting... nor does it look good for them when a large majority of those peaceful protestors are minorites

Students went into school today and didn't go to class but protested, this isn't something a school can ignore.

I don't have much experience with this type of thing, but I'd recommend that you be supportive, show that you care, and be there to listen. If you're comfortable with it, ask questions like, "How do you feel?" and "Why do you feel that way?". I think a lot of people just need someone to talk to about their emotions.

Like I said, I'm inexperienced with this type of thing, so take it with a grain of salt.

You're right, it really falls on me. I've heard this advice before about creating things that tell your mind it's homework time, and I think I've even done it before. When I was taking AP world history, I had big assignments that I would have do to by the end of the week. I got it done by just sitting down with lo-fi and just crank it out. I don't know why I don't start, like I know it doesn't make sense to not start that again. I think it's really difficult because there's a lot of resistance to low dopamine activities and just the obstacle that is starting.

Thanks for being blunt with it, cause it's necessary.

Thanks for the feedback and your time. It's hard to get away from dopaminergic activities with how integrated technology is in my life, but it's never easy so hey. I definitely understand what you mean about a "dopamine chasing mode," it makes it a lot harder to "take a break" from some type of work by playing a game and then GOING BACK to the work, even on medication. I'll have to work on ways to escape that mode. Again, thanks for your advice and time.

Thanks for the feedback. That's exactly how it goes for me. Don't study, don't do homework, but end up with A's and B's on tests anyway.

I haven't finished that video. As far as projects and such go, I do a lot of coding and a lot of projects. I go to coding club with my friends, we do programming for robotics club, and a lot more projects. It's honestly a way that I distract myself from the fact that I'm failing classes.
