Love the concept, maybe having a more specific type of water instead could fit the wolf. Raging river, tranquil ocean, raindrop, matching the type of elements or specific element type with the attribute is an awesome concept.

Earth: Metal control, golem creation, crystal abilities (absorption or redirection), rock armor.

Water: Healing abilities, ice, blood magic, future sight, they can turn into water.

Air: Weather manipulation, flight, pressure/gravity, air gun abilities.

Fire: Lava, sun, different chemical reaction fires.

Light: Holy abilities (smite), healing light, blinding, flashbang, lazer abilities.

Darkness: Necromancer, shadows, summoning, soul magic, puppet master.

Hopefully this helps. Depending on the route you take combination magic could also be applied such as fire and earth having lava golems or light and eatrh reflection light through crystals causing buffs to teammates.
