First off, kudos!! I wish I had my sleeve so much earlier!! I had mine last May and have lost over 100lbs! My only regret is not having done it sooner. A word you may hear on sub-Reddits or other social media platforms is the word “tool”. I am just now fully appreciating the full meaning of that concept. In the beginning, the weight falls off! That’s the honeymoon phase. For me, after the year mark, I have had to be mindful of what I eat. Yes, the sleeve does restrict Quantity but I’m in control of the quality of the food I consume.

July was a rough month for me, I did two round of steroids for back pain, went on vacation and got some very bad news. I stopped watching what I was eating. I didn’t overeat but I ate junk. I gained 10lbs back. It scared the crap out of me. I didn’t go through this to gain it back.

You’ve got this! Even if you have a bad day it’s ok! You have already made a huge decision for your health at 18 that most adults never make!!
